Leonora Golden Gift Weekend
 
 The Leonora Golden Gift weekend is held in Leonora, located 230km north of Kalgoorlie-Boulder in Western Australia The Golden Gift weekend is an athletic carnival, incorporating Australia’s richest 1600 meter event, the 'Minara Resources Elite Mile', with a free community concert, horse racing carnival, fireworks, children’s entertainment, market stalls and other street performances.

 

There is more than $50,000 prize money up for grabs over the carnival, with the winners of the 'Minara Resources Elite Mile' taking home $6,000 plus a gold ingot worth over $1,500.
