Get some quality Ultra Trail Australia on course training with the highly experienced Trainers from Blue Mountains Fitness! It's been way too long since we were running Kedumba!

The experienced trainers from BLUE MOUNTAINS FITNESS have teamed up again with THE BODY MECHANIC. We align our BMF UTA Training Runs with THE LOCKER ROOM UTA Base Training Plans (Beginner/Intermediate/Advance) and the Event Specific UTA11, UTA22, UTA50 and UTA100 Race Training Plans. This run lines up with the long run of The Locker Room UTA22, UTA50 and UTA100 Programs.

BLUE MOUNTAINS FITNESS is one of only a few companies with a National Parks and Wildlife ECO PASS licence to carry out run training on the Ultra Trail Australia course. We have been training runners to complete the arduous UTA course for the last 12 years. We have highly experienced trainers who know the trails better than most. Remember we are fully National Parks Eco Pass licensed and fully insured.

WHY?
This is a perfect training run to get a look at the stairs sections of the 50 and 100 courses or just see where you are at with your training. It's alos good hill and stair training for UTA22.

THE COURSE. Descend Kedumba. Follow the downs and ups of Sublime Point Firetrail to the Old Sewer Plant. Then its's 4km of awesome single track to the base of Furber Steps. 1km later you have arrived at Scenic World.

FINISH. At Scenic World

CAR SHUTTLES. The start and finish points are 22km away from each other so we need to get you to the start and you run to the finish. You can organise with your friends or family to get dropped off at QVH if you like. Or we willorganise car shuttles.

Option 1 - Get dropped off by friends and family at QVH by 8am

Option 2 - Meet us at Scenic World Multi Storey Car Park at 7.15am to 7.30am for a lift to the start at QVH.

GEAR. We will be using this as a race day prep run and ask you to bring the UTA22 Mandatory gear - https://uta.knack.com/ultra-trail-australia#gear-check-list-uta22/

TIME. The time taken to do his run will depend on which group you start with and the distance you want to run. It will be between 3 and 5 hours

Pace Group Option 1 - The Turtles - This group is for the slower walker/joggers and starts at 8.00am.

A shorter option of is also available for the Turtles - get dropped off at the gate at Kedumba and reduce the distance to about 19km.

 Pace Group Option 2 - The Hares - Faster fitter runners will give the Turtles a head start. They will complete the run in 3 to 4 hours. Start time 8.30am. This is also a good look to see what the pace is like and you can opt to change pace groups if needed.

Pace Group Option 3 - The Hares Plus Extra KM - Meet at 8am. 6km of firetrail near QVH on the Kings Tableland firetrail. Join the Hares at 8.30am for the Turtles chase down and the standard 22km to Scenic World.

NUTRITION. Please bring enough fuel and hydration for this amount of time. There will be 600ml per participant stashed on route in case you need it. Please take at least 2 litres of hydration.

INFO SHEET. A full information sheet will be sent to all participants prior to the training day.
This will include meeting points, training course map, PDF Map link, instructions etc.

FEES. The fees for this event are:
BMF UTA Course Stair Training $65 plus a small booking fee if you book through Register Now.
