The experienced trainers from BLUE MOUNTAINS FITNESS have teamed up again with THE BODY MECHANIC. We align our BMF UTA Training Runs with THE LOCKER ROOM UTA Base Training Plans (Beginner/Intermediate/Advance) and the Event Specific UTA11, UTA22, UTA50 and UTA100 Race Training Plans. This run lines up with the long run of The Locker Room UTA22, UTA50 and UTA100 Programs.

BLUE MOUNTAINS FITNESS is one of only a few companies with a National Parks and Wildlife ECO PASS licence to carry out run training on the Ultra Trail Australia course. We have been training runners to complete the arduous UTA course for the last 11 years. We have highly experienced trainers who know the trails better than most. Remember we are fully National Parks Eco Pass licensed and fully insured.
WHY? This is a perfect training run to get a look at the stairs sections of the UTA 22, 50 and 100 courses or just see where you are at with your training.
This training run will be based on the UTA22. The course on the day will be dependent on NPWS and Council restrictions. At the moment most of this course is open and more trails are opening up every week. Extra km will be available for those wanting extra distance/time running. The course will include Cliff Drive, Narrow Neck, Landslide, Furber Stairs, Federal Pass, Leura Forest, Leura Stairs, Fern Bower and Echo Point. For those wanting more distance and UTA stairs we'll have plenty of options to add those in on this course.
START AND FINISH. At Scenic World
GEAR. We will be using this as a race dy prep run and ask you to bring the UTA22 Mandatory gear - https://uta.knack.com/ultra-trail-australia#gear-check-list-uta22/
TIME. The time taken to do his run will depend on which group you start with and the distance you want to run. It will be between 2.5 and 4 hours
Pace Group Option 1 - The Turtles - This group is for the slower walker/joggers and starts at 9.00am.
Pace Group Option 2 - The Hares - Faster fitter runners will run a few out and backs to give the Turtles a head start. They will complete the run in 3 to 4 hours. Start time 9am. This is also a good look to see what the pace is like and you can opt to change pace groups if needed.
Extra Km options: Extra Km will also be available at the halfway point at Gordon Falls to Pool of Silom and Golf Links Lookout.
NUTRITION. Please bring enough fuel and hydration for this amount of time. Water is available at Echo Point. There will be 600ml of water available on course at Solitary Restaurant provided by BMF.
INFO SHEET. A full information sheet will be sent to all participants prior to the training day.
