EOI briefing: Effectiveness of bushfire risk reduction
29 September 2022, 9.30am AEDT via ZOOM

This online project briefing is for potential applicants for the Effectiveness of bushfire risk reduction project, which is open for Expressions of Interest until 11:59pm 10 October 2022.

This project builds on existing research conducted on community values and indicators of the effectiveness of bushfire risk management in reducing risk to these values. The outcomes of this project will support the strategic pathway of the Joint Research Strategy in terms of 'increased sector capability in social and behavioural science research and practice to better understand community behaviours and values’, as well as providing approaches that may inform improved risk modelling.

The aim of this briefing is to provide additional background information and answer applicants’ questions to support development of project proposals.

The Effectiveness of bushfire risk reduction project is being managed by Natural Hazards Research Australia on behalf of the Victorian Country Fire Authority.

More information about this call for Expressions of Interest is available here.

For any questions about the meeting, please contact Vaia Smirneos at vaia.smirneos@naturalhazards.com.au or (03) 9412 9630.
