The Capital to Coast 100km Multistage Race 2022!

The Capital to Coast (C2C) 100km trail running event will be held over 26-28 August 2022. The event takes place in national parks, public lands, and heritage locations between Canberra and the South Coast of NSW. The event consists of a prologue on the Friday, four stages on the Saturday and a further four stages on the Sunday. Stages range between 8km and 15km in length, covering a range of terrain taking you from Canberra to the South Coast of NSW.

C2C is a running event organised by runners for the enjoyment of runners. The staged nature of the race makes the event accessible to social trail runners competing in relay teams through to experienced ultra marathon runners. The time between stages, massed starts, and festival atmosphere are all aimed at supporting a strong social dimension to the race. The choice of stage courses and locations provides runners with an enjoyable and scenic mix of terrains from beach and cross-country trail to path and road. C2C is not conducted with a profit motive, nor are participants encouraged to raise money for charity.

You will need your own transport for the event or you can use our social media platforms to contact others who may wish to ride share.  There are some dirt roads so consider this in your choice of transport.

The website www.capitaltocoast.com.au is your source of truth and you are encouraged to check it regularly and follow our socials for updates. You can also sign up to the newsletter to keep you updated in the weeks leading into the event! Make sure you check out the Event Guide and the Event Rules on the website, including for information on registration changes or refunds.

Entries close on 19 August – get in quick! Early Bird entries close on 8 July.

And…. each entry is eligible for a free t-shirt!

Please note, for entries after Early Bird's close, we cannot guarantee T-shirts will arrive in time. But, we will do our best (global supply chains being somewhat out of our control at the moment) and, if not, will find a way to get them to you. Be sure to consider the sizing guide so you can include it when you register.

Now you are here, what do you need to know to get signed up?

You can enter solo or in teams of 2, 3 or 4.

Soloists: Go you good thing! Please be aware there is a minimum age requirement of 18 years for our soloists as at the day the event starts.

And now for our teams… to start with, all teams must be registered by a Team Captain. Teams have a minimum age requirement of 15 years as at the first day of the event. Runners under the age of 18 must have the consent of a parent or guardian in order to participate. At least one team member must be 18 years of age.

Team Captains: You have great power and great responsibility! But seriously, your role is pretty straight forward. You are responsible for the initial team set up. You can then send a personalised registration link to your team members and they can jump in to add their personal details, sign the event waiver and select their t-shirt size. Once all team members are registered, you can finalise the team registration and pay. Note, to be eligible for Early Bird entry, this must be completed by Early Bird cut-off.

The Team Captain has the full capability to jump back in to change members of the team up until the close of registrations. Easy!

Team Members: To enter, you can follow your personalised link or select “Join a Team” and search for your team in the drop down list.

And finally, an extra 'something something' for our Canberra Runners members…

Members of Canberra Runners are entitled to a $25 discount on solo or team entries. Please note, this is a single discount per team, not a discount on each individual. Look out for the promo code in the Canberra Runners newsletter. If you join the club after the opening of registrations, please email us directly and we will share the promo code with you directly. This is just one of the many fabulous events your Canberra Runners membership gets you access to throughout the year!
