The Saddle Island Race will be run by following the protocols of the Manly Sailing Club to ensure that health and safety of all sailors and volunteers.

If you want to take part in club racing it will be mandatory to follow the guidelines below:

  • First and foremost if you feel unwell DON’T come to the club

     

  • The clubhouse will NOT be open other than to get equipment needed for safety boats and for one or two persons to be on Tower duty

     

  • Entries shall be done online manlysailingclub.org.nz this enters you, records your attendance and signs you in to race.Sign off will be done by a volunteer recording your return to the beach

     

  • Scan the QR code by the back stairs of the club

     

  • Social distancing at all times on shore, particularly in the rigging area don’t congregate in groups

     

  • The Briefing for the days racing will be through What's App at least 30 minutes before the scheduled first start

     

  • When taking boats to the beach go to the right of the ramp and once launched put the trailers above the high water mark to the right of the ramp. Enjoy the racing

     

  • When returning to the beach, washdown will be available with ONE designated person operating the hose before returning to the area allocated when you arrived

     

  • Once unrigged leave the area as soon as possible

     

  • There will be a BBQ at Sullivan's Bay, please let Fiona know if you can help with this 

     

  • Results will be online at manlysailingclub.org.nz

     

  • There will be a designated marshal to ensure that sailors are adhering to these guidelines

     

  • We expect all sailors and volunteers to take personal responsibility and behave accordingly

     

  • It's important that all sailors adhere to the directions of the Race Officer
