MOTORCYCLE RACING IS DANGEROUS AND CAN RESULT IN INJURY TO COMPETITORS AND DAMAGE TO MACHINERY.
These supplementary regulations and entry form are important documents, which affect your legal rights and obligations. Read these documents carefully and do not agree to terms and conditions of entry for this competition unless you are completely satisfied that you understand the contentsand agree to be bound by them.
ANNOUNCEMENT & JURISDICTION
The Bunbury Motorcycle Club, hereafter called the Promoter will conduct the meeting in accordance with the General Competition Rules of Motorcycling Australia (GCR’s) (MOM’s), these supplementary regulations and any additions or amendments approved by MWA. Entry is open for all competitors who hold Junior National License with the exception to Senior Riders who must hold Senior National License, with one event licenses available. To be eligible to participate in the 50cc Demo (Non-Competitive) riders must hold a Recreational License, no rider that holds a competition license can participate in this class. By entering this meeting all parties agree to comply with these rules, regulations, by-laws and instructions.
The Track will close Midnight the Sunday prior to the event.
Officials are appointed with the approval of MWA. Control will be under the Clerk of Course with the supervision from the Steward/s of the meeting who reserve the right to alter, postpone or cancel all or part of the event program if required, without notice.

All seeded WA riders must ride with their allocated race numbers. All number plates on all machines MUST comply with the GCRs and must not contain any decals or advertising other than the required MA decal.

Plate colours will apply to all capacity classes. Side plates must be the same colour as front plates. Riders must display a back number in contrasting colours at all times (refer GCR’s).
Riders must have had their:
- 4th birthday to compete on 50cc demonstration machines
- 7th birthday to compete on 50cc Auto machines.
- 7th birthday to compete on 65cc machines.
- 9th birthday to compete on 85cc/150cc 4st standard wheel machines.
- 12th birthday to compete on 85cc/150cc 4st big wheel machines.
- 13th birthday to compete on 125cc/ 150cc 2st and 250cc 4st machines.
- 16th birthday to compete in MX1, MX2
- 35th birthday to compete in Veterans
MINIMUM / MAXIMUM RIDERS
The maximum number of entries that will be accepted per class is 40 riders as per GCR’s. The minimum number of entries to constitute a class is 6 riders. Classes may be altered and/or combined to suit entries received. (scored separately). Should the minimum number of any class be insufficient, the decision to run or cancel the class and re-distribute any awards and/or prize money will be at the discretion of the Steward
- ENTRY FEES AND CONDITIONS
Closing Date for Entries
Entries will close 6pm Friday 18th February 2022, at the discretion of the committee entries may be re-opened after this date at the discretion of the organising committee for an additional $30 late entry fee until 9 pm Monday 21st February, these entrants will not appear in the program. There will be NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY. In the case of postponement or abandonment of the meeting, all or any part of the entry fee may be retained by BMCC, if such retention is approved by MWA.
Only entries received through Register Now and accompanied by the correct fee will be accepted. Refunds will be given to riders not able to attend the meeting due to injury/Medical reasons only. Notice of 48 hours need to be given in writing and emails to the Race Secretary with a medical certificate. $5.00 Admin fee will be charged.
If no current MWA Licence is held, Seniors can purchase a one event license on ridernet for $85.
Junior riders (under 16 years) must have a log book to demonstrate their level of competency endorsement as the GCR's rule 3.8 through 18.104.22.168 to be eligible for a One Meeting Licence and this must be applied for online with MWA.

Entry's to be completed on online via Register Now. No entries will be available on the day.
- MACHINE EXAMINATION
Pits open at 4:45am. Machine Examining: 5:15am-6:30am sharp with riders brief at 6:45am.
All riders to be signed on by a parent before proceeding to scrutineering. Signed in riders will be given a wrist band once licence and log book checked.
Competitors are to present themselves with their MA Licence, Logbook, Helmet, Boots, commercially manufactured upper body armour (front and back) with correct bike numbers upon it, or if armour is worn underneath Jersey, with correct race number printed on Jersey for inspection. Machine Identification number(s) on bike and rider as per GCR’s. Helmet must be on rider’s head by the time they reach the machine examiner. Competitors must place a Motorcycling WA supplied logo on the front number plate of their machine.
Scrutineering will commence at 5:15am-6:30am. All machines must comply with the 2021 GCRs.
All AUTO class bikes, and safety gear MUST be presented for inspection at the above-mentioned time.
Scrutineering will be by self-scrutineering for all other classes. Scrutineering forms will be available from the race secretary and will be sent out with the final instructions. Competitors must hand in their completed scrutineering form(s) (one per machine) during sign on for the event.
Note: Random Scrutineering checks will be carried out at any time during the event.
A Scrutineer must examine machines, which suffer significant accident damage in practice, qualifying or race sessions before participating again. It is the rider’s responsibility to arrange for a Scrutineer to re-inspect their machine.
Eligibility checks can take place at any time during the event.
In addition to disassembling and checking of machines after official protests have been received by the Clerk of Course as per the GCRs, the Steward, Clerk of Course or Chief Scrutineer may, at their discretion, also request that any machine that has participated in the event be disassembled for inspection. Failure to comply with this regulation will result in the matter being referred to the Clerk of Course for further action.
After the final race of each class at each round, the top four placing motorcycles may be impounded in the technical inspection impound area at the discretion of the Chief Scrutineer for up to 10 minutes. If a rider is instructed to present their machine(s) they must do so, as failure to do so will result in the matter being referred to the Clerk of Course for further action. The location of the impound area will be sign posted and it is the rider’s responsibility to know the location at each event.
Pending any protest, the event result will be provisional.
a. At the conclusion of that period, if no protest is received, the result will be final.
b. If the machines are to be ridden in another event within that period, they must be inspected by the Chief Scrutineer before being returned to the competitor for that event.
Crew members and authorized personnel are not permitted to enter the designated technical inspection impound area until permission is granted by the Chief Scrutineer.
As per the GCR 10.13.2 Helmet Cameras and 10.13.2.1 Cameras may be fitted to the motorcycle provided they are securely mounted. Helmet cameras are not permitted are not allowed unless the camera is integrated into the helmet, by design of the manufacturer. Camera mounts on helmets are not allowed.
Tear-off’s are banned for all Off Road related disciplines as per Appendix A GCR 22.214.171.124, however as per Appendix A GCR 126.96.36.199 Exemptions are available for Junior, Senior and Classic Motocross events by application of the Track Licensee to the Relevant Controlling Body. a) Automatic exemptions will apply for Supercross events held at temporary tracks and venues.
NOTE: Tear Offs are permitted at BMCC
ALL MACHINES MUST CONFORM TO THE GENERAL COMPETITON RULES. Machines may be measured; bore and stroke, and fuel samples taken at random. The steward will be responsible for the decision to measure machines on the day. Any machine may be measured at the request of the steward or under protest. It is a condition of entry that all cost will be borne by the entrant for machines measured under the instruction of the Steward.
Noise testing will be conducted as per GCR 10.22.0.1 for Solos and GCR 188.8.131.52 for Quads.
Transponders will be compulsory at this meeting, except for 50cc Demonstration Classes. Transponders can be hired for $15.00 ($10 hire fee plus $5.00 Administration Fee) per day. Riders with their own transponder will be charged the $5.00 Administration Fee only.
It is compulsory to have purchased and fitted a transponder bracket prior to this meeting. Transponder brackets are available for purchase for $15.00 through MWA. You must supply your own cable ties.
Condition of use:
- When a transponder is transferred to the competitor, it is the competitor’s responsibility for any repairs or replacement cost of the transmitter if damaged or lost.
- It is the competitor's responsibility to ensure the transponder is mounted correctly and securely to prevent damage from fouling other components on the machine.
- It is the competitor's responsibility to ensure transponders are returned in good condition at the end of the event, or if due to machine failure or injury before the machine leaves the pit area. Competitors WILL be fined $50 for not returning transponders on the day.
- Transponders must be returned to the designated person or box as advised at the riders briefing.
- For transponders not returned within 30 minutes from the conclusion of racing, you will have 7 days to return your transponder to the MWA Office. If you do not return it within 7 days you will receive a $300.00 replacement invoice and your license will be instantly suspended until you return the transponder or you pay the invoice.
- Transponders must be fitted for all practice sessions.
NOTE: The onus is on guardian/rider to ensure transponders are on machines prior to each event.
CONDITIONS OF RACING
The promoters reserve the right to postpone, cancel or change the program if necessary with MWA approval prior to the meeting or with permission from the Steward on the day of the meeting. Control will be under the Clerk Of Course with supervision from the Steward
A riders’ meeting will be held 6:45am. All riders and parents must attend.
Practice will commence immediately after Riders Meeting. Riders will only have one (1) practice each, except for those riding two (2) separate capacity machines or classes. Practice is 3 Laps for all classes if time permits. Practice classes may be combined. Practice Starts will not be permitted; riders must leave the track via the pit return or as directed by the Clerk of Course.
One (1) assistant over the age of sixteen (16) years will be allowed up to the starting gate and must leave the start line immediately once the last lap board is presented or instructed by an official, which ever happens first, The riders assistant must not interfere or block access to the start line of other riders. Penalties will be imposed on the rider & assistant if you fail to obey the rules in the starting area. At no time are the riders or their assistant permitted to touch or step over the starting gate, this could result in the rider being disqualified and removed from the starting area
Self-penalizing drop gates. Clutch start: -
- 15 second board displayed to all riders for full 15 seconds
- At the end of 15 seconds a 5-second board will be displayed.
- The gate will drop between 5 and 10 seconds after the 5-second board is shown.
Riders to be in start gates for the next race as soon as practical and allowed by the starter.
Engines to be off in the starting area.
Gate positions will be drawn by random peg pick by the rider for the 1st race only eg peg #1 equals gate choice #1. Gate position will then be determined for the following races by your previous race placement. DNF riders will have last gate pick in order of DNF. Only authorized officials will be permitted on the starting line and only 1 assistant over 16 years of age per rider is permitted on the start line.
A one-lap board will be displayed to the riders indicating when one lap remains. The chequered flag is displayed to signal the race is finished.
A competitor finishes and qualifies for inclusion in the results if the competitor;
a) Completes not less than 50% of the race distance; and
b) Is shown the chequered flag on crossing the finish line.
Scoring will be as per GCR 10.16.13 for all classes.
Change of Machine
A rider is allowed to change bikes right up to the start of the race as long as both bikes are eligible for the class, designated to the one rider, identical numbers and have passed machine examination. No notification is required to the Clerk of Course in the above case, but if a rider wishes to use another competitors bike in place of his own then formal notification to the Clerk of Course at least 10 minutes prior to the race in which the substitution is to be made.
Protests and Complaints
‘On track’ complaints and protests may be initiated by the competitor only. Should a junior competitor have a complaint regarding an incident ‘on track’, then this needs to be conveyed by the competitor only to the officials stationed at the area designated by the purple flag. The competitor must return immediately to the pits, then present their complaint to the Clerk of Course. Should the complaint not be resolved to the satisfaction of the competitor, the competitor may then make a formal protest to the Steward by submitting a protest form to the Clerk of Course. This process applies to incidents ‘on track’.All other ‘off track’ incidents refer directly to the Clerk of Course. Refer GCR’s.

Hole Shot awards will be for the LAST ROUND of racing only $50 per hole shot for all Junior classes and Seniors classes (This excludes 50cc Demo Class)
St John Ambulance personnel will be in attendance. It is a condition of entry that First Aid MUST be accepted wherever deemed necessary by the attending first aides. The Clerk of Course has the right to refuse further racing of a rider if first aid requirements are not adhered to.
Injuries – Medical Certificates.
Any rider transported via Ambulance or private vehicle will require a medical certificate stating they are fit to participate in Motorcycle Sport. The Steward will collect information from the injury reports and relay this to the MWA office where it will be recorded that you require a certificate before you can compete in any further events. This information will be mailed out to all clubs and event promoters.
All riders are reminded that ambulance cover is compulsory as a condition of your licence. Cover must be maintained for the duration of your licence.
Flag Marshals will be supplied by Bunbury Motorcycle Club
ALL Flag Marshals must attend the Flag Marshals Briefing at the timing tower located half way in between the pit area and canteen at 7:00am and Shift 1 will need to be in position at their allocated flag points immediately following the Flag Marshal Briefing.
Demo class parents will be required to sign on to assist when their child is on the track. They are required to wear a reflective vest and enclosed shoes.
CROSSING THE CIRCUIT
Competitors are reminded that crossing the circuit during practice or racing is strictly prohibited, unless permission has been given by the Clerk of Course.
All competitors and officials are advised that drug testing may take place in accordance with MA’s Anti-Doping Policy, as carried out by the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority. Refer to MA website for details.
If any doubts exist over banned substances it is recommended competitors contact the Drugs in Sport Hotline 1800 020 506. When drug testing takes place, AWARDS may be delayed at MWA’s discretion until the results of the tests are known.
ALCOHOL TESTING PROCEDURES
All competitors and officials are advised that random breath-testing may take place during the competition in accordance with the Motorcycling Australia Drug and Alcohol Safety Policy
CODE OF CONDUCT
All competitors, officials and parents are reminded of MA’s Code of Conduct contained within MA’s Member Protection Regulations, found at www.ma.org.au, which is a guide to appropriate behaviour at all motorcycle race meetings. This Code of Conduct applies to this Meeting and will be enforced.
NO HASSLE POLICY
Any rider or entrant or person associated with the rider or entrant shall conduct themselves in an orderly manner. A rider shall be responsible for his own conduct and for that of any person with whom he is associated. Anyone who abuses or threatens verbally or physically any official or any other person present at the event shall be deemed to be in Breach of this rule.
The No Hassle Policy applies to the Race Secretary and other volunteers of the Promoter and subsequent to the event. A No Tolerance approach will be applied for any breach in this regard, with Exclusion as the penalty.
Penalties: will be imposed by the steward for a breach of this rule on the day i.e. * Reprimand or warning * Fine * Exclusion from the meeting. All breaches will be reported to M.W.A. for possible further action.
- No alcoholic beverages allowed in pits or racing circuit.
- Dogs will not be permitted (except guide dogs).
- Enclosed footwear must be worn in the pits and on the circuit at all times.
- No pit bikes / bicycles / scooters
- This is a licenced event – NO BYO alcohol.
- Open pits will run during this event, machines may be ridden from the pitting areas at slow walking pace, via the marked area, however once they are within the pit area they must walk their bikes to the starting area. Machines should be pushed to and from vehicles and in and around the pits. Engine may be running to assist.
- RIGHT TO USE IMAGE
It is a condition of entry that consent is given by the entrant/rider and/or parent/guardian for all photographs and electronic images (including moving images) that may be taken during the event by or on behalf of the Promoter, or with permission of the Promoter. All such images are the property of the Promoter and will only be used in accordance with the Motorcycling Australia Member Protection Policy and for the purposes of promotional or other purposes without further consent being required.

WARNING! THIS IS AN IMPORTANT DOCUMENT WHICH AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS, PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY AND DO NOT SIGN IT UNLESS YOU ARE SATISFIED YOU UNDERSTAND IT.
1. I THE UNDERSIGNED HEREBY AGREE with the persons, organisations and bodies corporate whose names appear in Schedule 1 (hereinafter collectively called "the organiser") that I am by this agreement entitled to participate in the motorcycle activity/ meeting listed in Schedule 2 (hereinafter called "the Meeting" or the “Event”) at the venue listed in Schedule 3 (hereinafter called "the Venue") on the terms and conditions set out in this document.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISKS, DANGERS AND OBLIGATIONS 2. I ACKNOWLEDGE that:
(a) motorcycle sport is dangerous and that by engaging in the sport (whether as a competitor, recreational rider, coach or official) at the Meeting I take and am exposed to certain risks and dangers and am under certain obligations as follows:
- that I may be injured, physically or mentally, and may be killed;
- that my machinery or equipment may be damaged, lost or destroyed;
- that competitors may ride dangerously or with a lack of skill;
- that track or event conditions may be hazardous and may vary without warning or predictability;
- that organisers, officials, landowners/track operators and any agents or representatives of those in charge of meetings are frequently obliged to make decisions under pressure of time/or events;
- that any policy of insurance of or in respect of my life or physical or mental health may be voided;
- that there may be no or inadequate facilities for treatment or transport of me if I am injured;
- that I have an obligation to myself and to others to act safely and within the rules and regulations of MA.
- the persons, organisations and bodies corporate whose names appear in Schedule 1 (hereinafter collectively called “the Indemnitees”), do not make any warranty that the services at the Meeting will be provided with due care and skill or that any materials provided in connection with the services will be fit for the purpose for which they are supplied; and
- to the extent that any warranty is implied it is excluded to the full extent permitted by law;
- I have voluntarily read and understood this warning and accept and assume the inherent risks in participating in the Event.
INDEMNITY AND RELEASE
3. IN CONSIDERATION of the acceptance of me as a participant in the Meeting:
(a) I AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND WILL KEEP INDEMNIFIED to the full extent permitted by law the Indemnitees and each of them in the following manner: (i) that I participate in the Meeting at my sole risk and responsibility;
- that I accept the Venue as it stands with all or any defects hidden or exposed;
- that I indemnify and hold harmless the Indemnitees, their respective servants, agents, officials and competitors against any actions, costs, losses or claims which may be made by me or on my behalf for or in respect of or arising out of my death or any injury loss or damage caused to me or my equipment whether caused by negligence, breach of contract or in any other manner whatsoever.
(b) I AGREE TO RELEASE to the full extent permitted by law the Indemnities from all liability to me for any claim, loss, damage, cost or expense (whether arising under statute, from negligence, personal injury, psychological trauma, death, property damage or infringement of third party rights or otherwise) that arises as a result of any act, matter or thing done, permitted or omitted to be done by me or which is in any way connected with my presence at or involvement in the Event.
- The release and indemnity provided by me in this declaration is in addition to, and will not in any way limit the application of, the conditions of sale attaching to tickets, conditions of entry, conditions of credentials or any other applicable terms or conditions in respect of the Event.
- A term of this release and indemnity will not apply where the term contravenes the law of the relevant jurisdiction under which any legal action is legitimately taken however such terms are severable and do not invalidate the remaining terms.
- I declare that I am and must continue to be medically and physically fit and able to participate in the Meeting. I will immediately notify MA in writing via my SCB of any change to my fitness and ability to participate.I understand and accept the Indemnitees will continue to rely upon this declaration as evidence of my fitness and ability to participate.
- I acknowledge and agree that if required, the Indemnitees (or any of them) may arrange medical or hospital treatment (including ambulance transportation) for me.I authorise such actions being taken by the Indemnitees and agree to meet all costs associated with such action.
- Should I receive medical advice or treatment during the Event, including at the Medical Centre, I hereby consent to the relevant information being disclosed to MA or my SCB (including without limitation the Chief Medical Officer) and to ensure my ongoing care and in the interests of public safety at the Event.I understand that I may gain access to my medical information held by MA, by contacting my SCB.
9. I hereby consent to the collection of my personal information by my SCB and MA in connection with my involvement at the Event and the use and disclosure of my personal information by my SCB and MA to other agencies and officials associated with the Event for the purposes of conducting and managing the Event. I understand that I may gain access to my personal information by contacting my SCB or MA. I understand that if I do not provide the personal information requested above that I may not be permitted to participate in the Event.
POLICIES AND REGULATIONS
- I acknowledge and agree that it is a condition of my participation in the Event that I agree to be bound by, and subject to, the rules, regulations and jurisdiction of MA and my SCB as amended from time to time.Copies of all MA rules, policies and regulations are available by contacting the MA office.
- All participants are bound by the MA anti doping policy and thus understand they may be subject to drug testing.Testing conducted by the Australian Sports Drug Testing Agency (ASDA) is in accordance with the Australian Sports Drug Agency Regulations 1999 (Cth).This involves the taking of a sample (any human biological fluid or tissue whether alive or otherwise, or any human breath) for the purpose of detecting the use of a Prohibited Drug or Doping Method.Any participant infringing MA’s policy or refusing a drug test may be disqualified or otherwise dealt with in accordance with the terms of the anti-doping policy.
12. I THE UNDERSIGNED STATE THAT I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD THIS DECLARATION (INCLUDING THE WARNING, INDEMNITY AND RELEASE) AND AGREE TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AS STATED.
THIRD PARTY INDEMNITY WHERE APPLICANT IS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE
13. I/WE being the parents or guardians of the person named on the reverse (hereinafter called “the entrant”) HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGE: (a) I/we have read the whole of this document and understand it;
- I/we consent to the entrants participating in the Event; AND
- I/we are aware of the risks, dangers and obligations set out in Clause 2 above;
- I/we acknowledge that the entrant is bound by and subject to the rules and policies of MA and my SCB, including, without limitation, the MA anti-doping policy;
14. IN CONSIDERATION of the applicant being accepted as an entrant I/WE HEREBY INDEMNIFY AND RELEASE the Indemnities in the same manner and to the same effect as if I/WE were the entrant and agree to personally accept all terms and conditions and obligations set out in this declaration.

5) CITY OF BUNBURY (Land Owner)
6) All other persons involved in the organisation, conduct and promotion of the Event or construction or location of the facilities used
in connection with or otherwise related to the Event
7) Each of the respective officers, employees, servants, agents, sponsors, successors and assignees of each of the above.
