2022 WA State Supercross Championship Supplementary Regulations


1. ANNOUNCEMENT
Dirt High Promotions, known as the promoter, will conduct the meeting in accordance with the General Competition Rules of Motorcycling Australia (GCR’s), these supplementary regulations & any additions or amendments approved by Motorcycling Western Australia.

2. JURISDICTION
The abovementioned meeting has been authorized by Motorcycling Western Australia which has issued a Motorcycling Australia Permit for an Open Permit and is open to all Junior and Senior Competition licence holders endorsed with Supercross on their JNA or SNA Licence

3. OFFICIALS
Officials are appointed with the approval of Motorcycling Western Australia. Control will be under the Clerk of Course with the supervision from the Steward/s of the meeting who reserve the right to alter, postpone or cancel all or part of the event program if required, without notice. The Steward is appointed by Motorcycling Western Australia.

4. ELIGIBILITY CLASSES AND MACHINES

4.1. Eligible Machines: Must be suitable for Supercross extra machine will be allowed but the machine must go through machine examination in the time specified.

4.2. Machine Numbering: Competitors are required to use the number issued to them by Motorcycling Western Australia.

4.3. Minimum/Maximum Riders: The minimum to constitute a class will be 10, classes may be altered to suit entries received.

5. ENTRY FEES AND CONDITIONS
Entry fees: $80 per rider + $15.00 Transponder

There will be no rider passes and no names at the gate all riders will pay to enter at the admission gate $20.00 Adults 10.00 kids 5-15 years (junior riders) the entry fee has been reduced to reflect this gate fee.

5.1. Closing date for entries: Entries will close for round 1 on 28th January 2022, Round 2 11th February 2022

6. REGISTRATION AND MACHINE EXAMINATION
Pits will open 02:00 pm, Registration will commence at 02:00 pm, Machine Examination will be by self-scrutineering, Scrutineer forms will be emailed to competitors and extra forms can be found on our website www.williethomson.com. Competitors must hand in their

completed form(s) one per machine during sign on. Random machine checks will be carried out at any time during the event. Cameras may be fitted to the machine provided they are mounted securely. Camera mounts are subject to the approval by the chief scrutineer. Helmet cameras are not permitted.

At sign on you will be required to bring with you your current MA competition licence either in electronic or physical form

Final instruction will be emailed to you 3 days prior to the event. Please ensure that the email address you register from you can access to for final instructions. Riders under 18 years will need their parent or guardian present at sign on.

6.1. RIDERS BRIEFING
A riders meeting will be held 3:30 PM attendance is compulsory.

6.2. START METHOD
Self-penalising drop gates. Clutch start
15 second board displayed to all riders for a full 15 seconds at the end of 15 seconds a 5 second board will be displayed
The gate will drop between 5 and 10 seconds after the 5 second board is shown.

Gate position will be determined by a timed lap practice in practice two (2), fastest lap time equals 1st gate pick etc., gate position for the subsequent races will be determined by the previous race results first position equals first gate pick etc. Those who DNF in previous race will have gate pick in order of DNF.

Only one (1) representative may accompany a rider to the start line. Once all riders have completed their gate selection the representative can be given permission to move to the gate area.

6.3. FINISH METHOD

A One/Final Lap board will be displayed to the riders signalling when one lap remains. The chequered flag will be waved to signal the race is finished.

7. THE COURSE
A man-made course consisting of clay and sand approximately 600m in length, all competitors are encouraged to walk the track to conduct an inspection prior to any on-track participation.
Competitors who are not satisfied with any aspect of the track can present these concerns to the Clerk of Course. If these concerns cannot be resolved the competitor will be invited to withdraw from the meeting.

8. RACE FORMAT
Practice 1 All classes 6 Laps
Practice 2 includes qualifying for gate pick All classes 6 Laps
Qualifying SX 1 and SX 2 if required 6 Laps
30 minute break
Racing 3 rounds All Classes 6 Laps
Final Round Non qualifying classes 6 laps
Final Round Qualifying Classes 8 Laps

8.1. AWARDS
Trophies: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each class.
Championship Medallions will be presented to First, Second and Third in each class at Motorcycling WA Night of Champions date TBA 2022

9. FIRST AID
First Aid personnel will be in attendance.
It is a condition of entry that First Aid MUST be accepted wherever deemed necessary by the attending first aides.
The Steward of the day has the right to refuse further racing of a rider if first aide requirements are not adhered to.

9.1. Ambulance Cover All riders are reminded that ambulance cover is compulsory as a condition of your licence.



10. TRANSPONDERS
Transponders will be compulsory at this meeting. Transponder brackets are available for purchase for $15.00 when you pick up your allocated hire Transponder. You must supply your own cable ties. Condition of entry: When a transponder is transferred to the competitor, it is the competitor’s responsibility for any repairs or replacement cost of the transmitter if damaged or lost. It is the competitor's responsibility to ensure the transponder is mounted correctly, and securely to prevent damage from fouling other components on the machine. It is the competitor's responsibility transponders are returned in good condition at the end of the event, or if due to machine failure or injury before the machine leaves the pit area. Competitors WILL be fined $50 for not returning transponders on the day. Transponders must be returned to the designated person as advised at the riders briefing. For transponders not returned on the same day, or not returned to the designated person, in addition to the $50 fee, the hirer is responsible for the transponder until it arrives back at the MWA office. This includes while in transit with Australia Post and by Courier. No excuse will be entertained for non-delivery. It is recommended transponders be hand-delivered.
Transponders must be fitted for all practice sessions. NOTE: The onus is on guardian/rider to ensure transponders are on machines prior to each event

11. GOGGLES AND VISORS
It is always recommended that competitors wear eye protection during the event. Where a competitor removes their eye protection during an event they do so at their own risk. Tear Offs are not permitted at this venue.

12. NO HASSLE POLICY
Any rider or entrant or person associated with the rider or entrant shall conduct themselves in an orderly manner. A rider shall be responsible for his own conduct and that of any person with whom he is associated. Anyone who abuses or threatens personally or physically any official or any other person present at the event shall lie deemed to be in Breach of this rule.
The Steward for a breach of this rule may impose PENALTIES on the day of this meeting i.e.:
*Reprimand or warning. *Fine. *Expulsion from the meeting. All breaches will be reported to MWA for possible further action.

12.1. GENERAL RULES
a) No alcoholic beverages allowed in pits or racing circuit.
b) No Smoking in any area where re-fuelling is carried out
c) There will be no riding of bikes other than on the track or designated lane way.
d) Animals will not be permitted (service dogs excepted).
e) No Tear Offs allowed
f) No Scooter, Pit Bikes or Non-competition motorcycles are permitted to be ridden at any time at the venue.
g) A rider shall be responsible for his/her own conduct and that of any person with whom he/she is associated who abuses or threatens in any manner, either verbally or physically any official.
