The South Maroubra Ocean Swim is an annual event at Maroubra Beach. (Last held 2019)
The South Maroubra Ocean Swim is organised by the South Maroubra Surf Life Saving Club and is a vital part of the fund-raising activities of the Club, where entry fees contribute to the purchase of vital lifesaving equipment required by our volunteer Lifesavers.
This year’s event features three race courses, 500m, 1km and 2.5 km. Each course will commence and end at the south end of the beach.
The first event for the day is the 500m swim for ages 9 to 12. Followed by the 1km and then the 2.5km swims open for 13 years of age and above.

Alternative Venue
If the surf conditions on the day of the Ocean Swim are determined to be unsafe at Maroubra Beach then the Ocean Swim will be postponed and a new date will be set. The Committee will do its best to advise/notify all registered participants of a postponement the day before the event or the morning off. All registered participants will be advised of the revised date.
