Angus Youth invites all young beef cattle enthusiasts to participate in the 2022 NH Foods Angus Youth National Roundup to be held at the Wodonga Showgrounds, VIC, 13 - 16 January 2022. The committee is working hard to ensure that you will have fun, make new friends, and learn lots about the Australian Beef Industry during the event.
The Entry Fee includes the full Roundup educational and fun program, participants meals (Thursday lunch to Sunday breakfast inclusive), a Dinner Dance ticket, Participants Shirt, Cap, Bag and a Drink Bottle; a total value of over $300.00, and you’re paying only $230!
PLEASE NOTE: We must abide by State Government COVID regulations. As a result, there are some changes to the registration process and attendance at Roundup.
1. Registrations will be capped and will work on a 'first in first served' basis. When the cap is reached, people will be placed on a waiting list. Should current COVID restrictions be relaxed and the number of participants is able to be increased, those on the waiting list will be notified and given the option to attend.
2. It is a requirement of entry that all participants must source an Angus animal as part of their registration. If you need assistance in sourcing animals, or have enquiries regarding animal entries, please contact the Roundup Event Coordinator Toni Nugent (contact details below) who will happily assist you in sourcing an animal.
3. The number of spectators, will be limited. We will livestream the judging to enable parents/guardians who are unable to attend in person to watch their children compete. If COVID restrictions are relaxed and the number of spectators at the event can be increased, a ticketing system for entry will be implemented. For those parents/guardians who do not have children under the age of 16, and would like to attend, please register your interest and you will be added to a waiting list and notified if restrictions change.
Participants will be split into age based groups - PEE WEE, JUNIOR, SUB-INTERMEDIATE, INTERMEDIATE & SENIOR - for the duration of the Roundup including industry sessions and competitions.
Security has been hired for the Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights to watch the cattle and equipment stored in the cattle sheds. St John's Ambulance Members will also be in attendance for the duration of the event.
Extra cleaning will also occur during the event to ensure participants can enjoy the program and have fun in a COVID safe environment.
Participants must organise their own accomodation. There is no camping available on-grounds.
Should the 2022 NH Foods Angus Youth National Roundup be postponed due to COVID you will be contacted to discuss and confirm how you would like to proceed with your registration.
