The 9th annual Tassal Group Airlie Beach Marathon Festival 2022 will be held on the weekend of 16th and 17th July, a beautiful time of the year to be running in Airlie Beach. It is a great opportunity to extend your stay and holiday in paradise and explore all that The Whitsundays and the Great Barrier Reef has to offer. The course runs along the foreshore from Airlie Beach to Cannonvale Beach via two marinas.
Saturday 16 July - Race Precinct (Airlie Beach Foreshore Sound Stage)
- 2.00pm - 5.30pm Airlie Beach Marathon Festival Registration/Race Pack collection
- 4.00pm START - McDonald's Magic Mile
Sunday 17 July - Race Precinct (Airlie Beach Foreshore Sound Stage)
- 6.00am START - ANQ Championship Airlie Beach Marathon (ages 18+)
- 6.30am START – Tassal Group Airlie Beach Half Marathon (ages 16+)
- 7.00am START – Whitsunday Transit 10km Fun Run (ages 15+)
- 9.00am START – Ray White 5km Fun Run and Corporate Team Challenge (ages 10+)
- 10.00am START – Wilmar 2km Junior Dash & Primary School Challenge (ages 6+)
- 10.30am START - Whitsunday Regional Council 1km Kids Run/Walk (ages 4+)
- 11.00am Presentations
- 12.00pm END of all races
NOTE:
- No prams in 42, 21,10 and 5 km races as the route is congested in places.
- No pets allowed as the course goes through areas where pets are banned by Council.
ATHLETICS NORTH QLD MARATHON CHAMPIONSHIP
The Airlie Beach Marathon is again the Athletics North Queensland Marathon Championship.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FOR YOUR ENTRY FEE:
There is no race bag for runners in the Airlie Beach Foreshore Magic Mile, however there will be prizes for male and female entrants in the open and limited age categories depending on the number of entries.
Your 2022 RACE BAG for the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km, 5km, 2km and 1km events will include the following:
- Great event singlet
- Finishers Medal on completion
- Numbered Bib and pins
- Access to Free photos
HOWEVER, PLEASE NOTE: the included Free Singlet is only guaranteed for those who enter by 1st May. Singlets will be available but ARE NOT GUARANTEED after 1st May. They will be allocated in accordance with your date of entry.
