Skills Development Program

XLR8 Skills Development Program (U6 - U12) offers the chance for your child to develop their technical skills in a game based environment, with the focus on technical development, decision making, problem solving and enjoyment. 

Under the guidance of our XLR8 coaches, players work on their individual ball mastery and 1v1 technical development then use small sided games to accelerate the growth of their problem solving, decision-making and technical skills.

Players will participate in the following exercises during the session 

  • Ball Mastery
  • 1 v 1 & 2 v 2 technical development 
  • 3 v 3 & 4 v 4 Games

Technical and Tactical Understanding

  • Ball Mastery/Dribbling
  • First Touch
  • Striking the ball (passing, shooting, crossing)

What to bring

  • Players must wear SHINPADS
  • Players can wear either boots or trainers
  • Bring a drink bottle

WET WEATHER:  Charles Bean Oval is artificial turf - sessions will  not be cancelled due to wet weather. Mills Park is a natural turf field- if fields are closed for a session you will be contacted via email.
