Sandman 50 is a 50km running race from Old Dunsborough boat ramp to Busselton Jetty and back.  The course is on the beach, with the nominal race line being at the water’s edge.

The next edition will commence at Old Dunsborough boat ramp 2am on 29.1.2022, timed to co-incide with a nearly super crescent moon, and a super low tide - promising unforgettable views, cool temperatures and a forgiving surface.

Entrants can do the entire race solo, or can compete in teams of two, doing 25km each, with the changeover at Busselton Jetty.  Race rules and details can be found HERE.

COVID REQUIREMENTS (IF RESTRICTIONS STILL IN FORCE)

For public health:

  1. There is a field limit of 150 entries (teams count as 1).  This may be reduced if there is any tightening of COVID restrictions.
  2. If we are required to reduce the field below the number of entries at that time, we will first call for volunteers to withdraw, then cut any excess in reverse chronological order - latest first.  In such a case, a full refund will be provided (excluding RegisterNow fees).
  3. You should be prepared to be self-sufficient for food on course, and have the capacity to carry no less than 600ml in a waist belt/bottles/backpack.  Water will be provided in individual bottles.  You must either drink the water at the aid station, or transfer it to your own containers, and put the bottle in the bin.  You cannot take a bottle from an aid station on to the course.

PLEASE NOTE: Entries will not be accepted on the day of the event unless previously approved by the Race Director.
