The YMCA Canberra Runners Club is proud to announce the 2021 YMCA of Canberra Half Marathon, incorporating the 51st Rex Foulkes Memorial Race.
RACE INFORMATION
The Half Marathon will be held under Covid -19 restrictions which may limit activities before and after the event, depending on what is allowed at that time e.g a presentation ceremony may not be possible and prizes forwarded to the recipients later. The field is limited to 500 participants.
There is a time cut-off for completion of the event of 3 hours 30 minutes.
Registration fees:
The early bird entry fee is $60 for non members and $40 for 2021 YCRC members. These fees will apply up to midnight on 9 May 2021 with all early bird entrants in the running for a $200 running shoe voucher from our sponsor Mizuno.
Standard registration after that date is $80 for non-members and $60 for members. Entries will close at 8pm on 20 May and there will be no late entries accepted on the Saturday afternoon.
Prizes will be awarded to the first three males and females of 1st - $400, 2nd - $250 and 3rd - $100. Masters age group winners will receive Runners Shop vouchers and there will be several Mizuno vouchers as barrel draws.
Race Bibs may be collected on the Saturday afternoon 22 May between 1pm and 3.30pm (the preferred time) or before the race on Sunday morning at the race starting area. Please allow sufficient time to collect your bib and attach it if you intend leaving collection to the Sunday morning.
Refunds of registration fees will only be allowed in exceptional circumstances.
Race Day:
The Half Marathon starts at 0800 on Sunday 23 May in Flynn Drive Yarralumla. In recent years the temperature at start time has varied from -6 to +8 degrees with little or no wind until later in the morning - perfect conditions for an enjoyable run!
