Dear all runners and walkers
Due to an adverse weather warning for the time the run scheduled for tomorrow morning we have made the difficult decision to cancel the event.
We apologize to all the runners and walkers, but feel the conditions will be miserable for both competitors and volunteers.
We will refund you your entry fee (less the credit card commission) please let us know if you would like to donate your entry fee to the Trails Trust.
We are considering running the event in January and will keep everyone posted via social media.
Our apologies for the inconvenience caused.
The Kepler Challenge has also re-routed the course due to the weather. We wish all the runners well tomorrow and hope everyone get home safe and sound.

Fiordland Trails Trust - 2020 5km & 10km Run and Walk
The 2020 5km and 10 km proudly organised by the Fiordland Trails Trust
Fiordland known for its wilderness and breathtaking scenery is the stunning and spectacular backdrop for the 5km and 10km run
Running under the Fiordland's mountains, through sections of beech forests and along the crystal clear Waiau River to finish by the Kepler Challenge finish line in Te Anau
The Fiordland Trails Trust 5km and 10km Challenge is an out-and-back run/walk on the section of
the Fiordland Trails Trust Lake2Lake Trail between the Lake Te Anau Control Structure and Queens Reach. This
simple event is open to all abilities (run or walk) but please choose the distance that will allow you to finish
within the 2hr cut-off so that everyone is back for the Podium Results!Funds raised from the event will go towards maintaining the Lake2lake trail and potentially growing this event in the future.

5km $10. 10km $20.
On the day registration is available to $15 for the 5km and $30 10km
Race Route
Join in the excitement of the Kepler Challenge race day. This race is starting and finishing from the Lake Te Anau control gates, the finish line of the Kepler Challenge and Luxmore Grunt. With Mt Titiroa behind you and the World Heritage Fiordland National Park to your left, the scenery will entertain even the seasoned runner. The route follows the Upper Waiau River before finally reaching the Lake Te Anau Control gates. Upon crossing the finish line, you can support the runners of the Kepler Challenge
