MARATHON RUNNING IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA
CENTENARY 21 August 1920–2020
RE-ENACTMENT of the FIRST EVENT
This event is a free self supported encore of the re-enactment of the very first Adelaide Marathon of Aug 21st 1920. The re-enactment took place on Fri Aug 21st 2020.
To celebrate the occasion runners and walkers were invited to a re-enactment of this event over the same course used in 1920, which is still intact but with modern innovations such as traffic lights, public
amenities and shopping centres.
This will be the only repeat (encore) of the re-enactment for those who were unable to attend previously and also for those who expressed a desire to run the course again.

There is a small cost involved for the additional engraving of the finisher medals. What I will do is to get the wording "Centenary Marathon - ENCORE" along with the word "FINISHER" and the date of "Nov 15 2020" engraved on the back of all medals.

The run is totally free to register but we will have to have a small charge of $5 for the engraving so as we can distinguish this run from the re-enactment on Fri Aug 21 2020.

The run will start from Victoria Square at 8:00am Sun Nov 15th 2020.
