Assisting veterans transition out of the military and into the community is vital for their health and well-being. This unique approach will look beyond PTSD and assist you learn new techniques to work with veterans struggling following their military service. This approach has been tried and tested in clinical practice and is currently being more deeply explored and investigated with a research project being conducted at Griffith University.
This is a six session interactive webinar package to explore, understand and work with the ‘Soldier mode’ in therapy. These sessions will cover the Soldier Mode Model and how to explore, understand and work with each element of the Soldier Mode Model and veterans trying to adjust after their military service.
Each session will be conducted on a Monday 9 – 10.30am. Approximately 60mins of each session will be education and sharing content and approximately 30mins of each session will be discussion and answering questions. The program:
Mon 17 Aug: The Soldier Mode Model and the Soldier Mode
Mon 24 Aug: The Scolding Military Mode
Mon 31 Aug: The Wounded Soldier Mode
Mon 7 Sep: The Lost Soldier Mode
Mon 14 Sep: Other Issues: including the role of and interaction with other schema coping modes, pre-military trauma and the military family
Mon 21 Sep: How to strengthen the Healthy Adult mode in veterans to facilitate transition
Monday 12 Oct: A free bonus 60- 90 min supervision session, so that you can ask questions and consolidate your learning.
The cost for the package is $300 per person for the six session webinar package and free bonus follow-up supervision session. All sessions will be recorded in case you can’t make or miss a session. I hope to meet you live!
