CLASSES OF COMPETITION
50cc Non-Competitive trail rider
JJ 65cc 7-12 years
J1 85cc 2 stroke and 150cc 4 Stroke 9-11 years (Standard Wheel)
J2 85cc 2 stroke and 150cc 4 stroke 12-15 years
J3 125-200cc 2 stroke and 200-250cc 4 stroke 13-15 years
JG2 85-200cc 2 Stroke and 150-250cc 4 Stroke 12-15 years

Eligible Machines:

Motorcycles do not need to be registered and must be suitable for MX or Enduro racing. Extra machine will be allowed but the machine must go through machine examination in the time specified.

Machine Numbering:

Riders will be issued with numbers at rider registration unless they have numbers issued to them by Motorcycling Western Australia, riders with allocated numbers must complete the field with the number issued.

Minimum/Maximum Riders:

The minimum to constitute a class will be 3, classes may be altered to suit entries received.



MACHINE EXAMINATION:

 
Pits will open 6:00am. Machine examination from 7:00 AM to 7:30 AM.

All competitors must present themselves at registration with their MA license, proof of current club membership, Current JCP Logbook.  Helmets and Boots will be inspected at machine examination. Full riding gear will be inspected on start line prior to practice.

ALL MACHINES MUST CONFORM TO THE GCR’s. Please bring your own pen to sign in.

RIDERS MEETING:

 
A riders meeting will be held 7:40 AM All riders must attend.
Escorted practice lap at 8:00 AM followed immediately by Prologue.

START METHOD:

1. Prologue:
Prologue will commence after sighting lap.
Starting order for prologue will be by class largest capacity machines ascending where possible. Riders will start 1 at a time every 5 seconds. Transponder lap times will be used to allocate start position faster to slowest.
2. Start:
Start method will be a live engine start at 08:50 AM
Starting riders will be in order of prologue results
There will be a five (5) second interval between rider start times.
Start Order will be from highest capacity class to lowest – J3, J2, J1, JG2, JJ


FINISH METHOD:

 
The chequered flag will be waved 2.5 hours after the first start.

During Covid 19 Phase 3, riders are asked to leave the venue immediately after conclusion of race to make way for Senior Participants.


7. THE COURSE
Loop 1 - 7km’s, Accompanied - Non-Competitive
Loop 2 - 10-20 km’s long, repeated over a 2.5-hour duration consisting of Natural Terrain Paddock and grass lands.

8. RACE FORMAT
The Cross Country is an Offroad, Natural Terrain continuous multi-lap event.

All competitive classes complete as may laps as they can over a 2.5-hour time period.

The Winner in each class will be the riders who complete the most laps in the least amount of elapsed race time.

8.1. AWARDS
Trophies: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each class where 3 or more entries are received.
If there are less than 3 riders, then the classes may be combined with the approval of the Clerk of Course.

9. FIRST AID
First Aid personnel will be in attendance.
It is a condition of entry that First Aid MUST be accepted wherever deemed necessary by the attending first aides.
The Steward of the day has the right to refuse further racing of a rider if first aide requirements are not adhered to.

9.1. Ambulance Cover All riders are reminded that ambulance cover is compulsory as a condition of your licence.

10. NO HASSLE POLICY
Any rider or entrant or person associated with the rider or entrant shall conduct themselves in an orderly manner. A rider shall be responsible for his own conduct and that of any person with whom he is associated. Anyone who abuses or threatens personally or physically any official or any other person present at the event shall lie deemed to be in Breach of this rule.
The Steward for a breach of this rule may impose PENALTIES on the day of this meeting i.e.:
*Reprimand or warning. *Fine. *Expulsion from the meeting. All breaches will be reported to MWA for possible further action.

10.1. GENERAL RULES
a) No alcoholic beverages allowed in pits or racing circuit.
b) No Smoking in any area where re-fuelling is carried out
c) There will be no riding of bikes other than on the track or designated lane way.
d) Animals will not be permitted (service dogs accepted).
e) No Tear Offs allowed
