Queensland Moto Park (QMP) operating under Ride Parks Australia Guidelines

Ride Parks Australia (RPA) is a national program aimed at growing recreational activity at affiliated tracks and venues. It’s purpose is to draw riders from the general public to our tracks and showcase our sporting venues in a safe, family friendly environment.

Ride Park Days (RPD) is a product within RPA and caters for non-competitive on and off road ride days aimed at the riding public, including MA members at QMP.

QMP will operate under RPD guidelines and procedures until Motorcycling Australia and the associated State Controlling Bodies (including MQ) are able to be back operating under our ‘usual’ systems (expected to be as of 1st July, 2020).

Key elements of RPD’s as they will relate to QMP operations, and how they may differ from our ‘usual’ operations are as follows:

 ENTRY COST

Senior Riders (16yrs+) - $55

Junior Riders (4-16yrs) - $35

LICENCES

An MA Licence is not required to participate in an RPD, however MA annual licence holders will be covered for personal accident insurance whilst participating at an RPD.

TRACK MANAGEMENT

-RPD’s will be managed by Ride park Managers.
-Junior and senior riders may ride together.

Participants at QMP RPD’s will be grouped based on ‘Matched Ability’.

All riders will be allocated to one of the following groups (asked as part of the online registration process):

-Beginner: This group is for riders that include children, parents and participants possibly new to motorcycle riding. It’s to be managed at an appropriate speed to cater for the youngest or most novice of riders. Competent parent / guardians are allowed to ride in a beginner group in order to support a child / beginner rider.

-Intermediate: This group is for those who have sound motorcycle ability but possibly not ridden extensively on tracks before. As with all groups, the intermediate group participation should be based on ability regardless of age.

-Experienced: This group is ideal for those who frequent ride parks and possibly hold or have held a competition licence (either currently or previously).

The QMP Ride Park Manager has the authority to move riders to different groups as the day progresses or as the Ride Park Manager deems appropriate.

The QMP Ride Park Manager has the authority to remove any rider from the track / facility who is deemed to be riding recklessly, or putting other riders’ safety at risk, or whose behaviour falls short of the expected standard set out in the RPA Guidelines.
