Event Information & Supplementary Regulations

Registrations are now open for the series.

Early Bird Entries close midnight 01 March 2020.

Standard Entries Close midnight, 24th April 2020, late entries will not be accepted.

You do not have to be a member of one of the three clubs to enter. However, you will need to purchase a one-day membership ($25.00 per rider per race round this will be included in your fee)

  • Jurien Bay Motorcycle Club, Limestone Way, Jurien Bay, WA
  • Geraldton Junior & Senior Motocross Club, Landfill Lane, Narngulu, WA

Camping allowed at all rounds.

First aid personnel will be in attendance. All riders must have current ambulance cover and personal health insurance is recommended.

 

Eligible Classes:

1. 50cc Division 1 (Demo Class, non-competitive, 4-U7 yrs.)

2. 50cc Division 2 (7-U9 yrs.)

3. 65cc (7-U12 yrs.)

4. 85cc Junior 2-stroke & 150cc 4-stroke (small wheel, 9-U12 yrs.)

5. 85cc Senior 2-stroke & 150cc 4-stroke (standard & big wheel, 12-U16 yrs.)

6. Junior Lites 100cc to 125cc 2-stroke & 200cc to 250cc 4-stroke (13-U16 yrs.)

7. Senior MX1 (A & B grades) 122cc and over

8. Senior MX2 (A & B grades)122cc to 250cc

9. Senior Clubman (MX1 & MX2)

10. Veterans (Age 35 - 44)

11. Masters (Age 45+) Class will combine with Vets if minimum entries are not met

12. Women’s 

 

The above classes are subject to change depending on numbers. If minimum women’s numbers are not met, you will have the option of refund or integrate into other Senior Classes. Each class can hold a max of 40 riders.

 

Entry Fees:

Only entries received through Register Now and accompanied by the

correct fee will be accepted. No refunds.

$120 upfront for all 3 rounds or $50 per round – series entrance will take presidence over single round entrance.

$50 per additional class for all 3 rounds or $25 per round

 

Schedule: Times are an estimate only and may change on the day

 

  • 7:00am – Event Sign-on & Bike and Safety Equipment Inspection/Scrutineering
  • 8:10am – Sign-on and Scrutineering Closes (no late entries accepted)
  • 8:15am – Flag Marshal Meeting
  • 8:25am – Riders Briefing (mandatory for all riders)
  • 8:30am – Practice followed by Racing

Racing Times will be confirmed by each club at least 1 week before the event.

Race format will be announced on the event day to suit entries received.

 

Race laps: These will be announced on the day and may vary for each event.

Awards:

Award presentation will take place after racing on the final round at Geraldton MC.

(Award amounts are subject to change dependant on series entry amounts)

· Prize money for Junior Classes overall

· Participation medals for Demo Classes

· Inter club Shield for Club with Most Points overall

 

Flag Marshal Duties:

Hosting club’s members will undertake flagging for each round.

All flag marshals must attend flag marshal meeting held at 8:15 am before riders briefing in the Pavilion. All flag marshals must sign on.

 

Scrutineering:

Self-scrutineering will be done by the riders and overseen by a member of the hosting club.

All riders must submit their bike and safety equipment to be examined and approved by the Event Scrutineer on request. The Clerk of Course and Event Officials reserve the right to refuse a bike and/or safety equipment due to safety concerns for the rider or other participants, officials and spectators.

 

Sign in:

Riders must sign on from 7 am to 8:10 am on race day, presenting their helmets and boots for inspection. If a rider misses this sign on period, they will forfeit their participation in the days event without refund.

 

Drugs and Alcohol:

Competitors must not be under the influence of any drugs or alcohol during the event. There is a zero-tolerance policy in place. On entry, all riders understand that the Clerk of Course and Event Officials reserve the right to remove / disqualify / refuse rider/s from participating in the event due to safety concerns for the rider or other participants, officials and spectators.

 

Rider Numbers:

Jersey Identification – In order for scorers to identify riders during races, it is highly recommended that riders place their number on their jersey to assist with accurate scoring.

Rider Numbers: You must have your rider number clearly displayed on three number plates fitted to the front, left and right of your bike.

If you do not have numbers currently on your bike – please select a number from 100+ and display it on your bike plates.

 

General Rules:

· No alcoholic beverages allowed in pits or track areas.

· Bikes may be ridden from pitting areas at a slow walking pace.

· Enclosed footwear must be worn in pits and track area.

· Dogs will not be permitted (except licenced guide dogs).

· Smoking is not permitted on the premise – please use designated smoking areas.

Privacy: All entrants are notified that their results, details and photos may appear

on the Clubs’ websites, social media pages, local media and the like.

No royalty, fee or other compensation shall become payable by reason

of such use. Please notify the event organisers in writing if you do not

consent for these details to be published.
