LOGAN RUNNING FESTIVAL
The Logan Running Festival is the brainchild of former NRL player and Crestmead resident, Mark Tookey.
After having raced in various fun runs, triathlons and ultimately
marathons, Mark began planning Logan's very first marathon, to be staged
at the tranquil Berrinba Wetlands.
Mark had three main goals for the Logan Running Festival -
1. Affordable for everyone
2. Category for everyone with a 9 hour time limit to complete the full marathon
3. The event to include music, food and fun - a real party atmosphere!
This will not be your typical marathon however. The Berrinba Wetlands
route is a little over 5 kilometres, so in order to complete the half
and full marathons, competitors will be running laps of the circuit and
surrounds. Every competitor will have a timing chip inserted into their
unique racing bib, which you will design yourself. Your
racing bib will become unique to you, and therefore a special memento
for you to keep.
