Sorry registration for the 2020 race has now closed and we are very close to our limit of 300 registrations
Due to logistics and Covid-19 contact tracing requirements, all registrations need to be done online and prior to race day.
If there are any cancellations on the day, there may be some availability however we can not guarantee this due to logistical and timing arrangements. The final decision will be made by the race director on the day.

There is no refund however it is important you do not swap bibs with another competitor for safety reasons.

Fiordland Trails Trust - Meridian Hydro Half Marathon
The 2020 Half Marathon proudly organized by the Fiordland Trails Trust and sponsored by Meridian
Fiordland known for its wilderness and breathtaking scenery is the stunning and spectacular backdrop for the half marathon.
Running under the snow capped mountains, through sections of beech forests and along the crystal clear Waiau River to finish up at the Lakefront town of Te Anau is beginning to become a firm favourite and regular fixture in the running calendar.
Be one of the privileged few to boast that you completed this event in it’s 2nd and infant years and became part of the Fiordland Trails Trust running history.
Funds raised from the event will go towards maintaining the Lake2lake trail and potentially growing this event in the future.

All individuals $95 and includes a race medal and personal time recorded
Race Route
Starting at the location of the original Hydro Construction Village, the race crosses the Te Anau-Manapouri Highway and drops into Balloon Loop where it joins the Fiordland Trails Lake2lake track and heads on past Rainbow Reach, Horseshoe Bend and onto Queens Reach.
With Mt Titiroa behind you and the World Heritage Fiordland National Park to your left, the scenery will entertain even the seasoned runner. The route follows the Upper Waiau River before finally reaching the Lake Te Anau Control gates. From here along the lakefront trail, the finish line after a loop infront of the awaiting supporters at the Marakura Yacht Club in Te Anau awaits.
