Welcome to the annual Mt Worth Trail Run. This event is hosted by the Friends of Mt Worth State Park and raises funds to help us maintain the Park for all to enjoy.
It is a challenging trail run through superb West Gippsland rain forest.
The first event was held in 2018 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Mt Worth becoming a State Park.
The runs use most of the trails in the park, including sections not usually accessible, over some challenging hills and through wet forest. It includes quite technical sections and some open "go fast" sections.
The 2020 runs will be on a new set of trails, offering new challenges and new fun.
The run is offered in several options, with proceeds from each entry fee being a donation to the Friends of Mt Worth State Park. NOTE: in response to the terrible fires during this summer, $5 from each entry fee will be donated to the Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund (GERF.org.au).
A 21k trail running most of the trails in the Park over some challenging hills and through the beautiful wet forest;
A 15k trail through the same environment;
A 6k trail around the Gardener's Mill and Blowfly Hill circuits; and
FREE - A 2k Kids run for those up to 15. (Under 10's must run with a parent/guardian)
NOTE PARKING: to encourage car pooling we have a Parking Fee per car.
REFUND POLICY: The participant understands and accepts that this event is held by the Friends of Mount Worth State Park, a not for profit group and that all entry fees are donations to the State Park itself. There will be no refunds processed for this event. Please note this includes in the instance of unforeseen injury, even with a doctor's certificate. Please do not request as refusal often offends. We do allow substitutions.
Bib Pick up from 7:30 am
Runs will commence at:
8.30 am with the 21K, then at 8.45 am for the 15K and at 9 am for the 6K.
The 2k kids run will commence at 11 am.
A briefing will be held 5 mins before the start of each race.
A coffee van and other foodie options will make the event a fun family day.
Registrations are capped at 120 in total so don't miss out!
