This meeting will be conducted under the current Formula 500's Australia Inc. Supplementary Racing Regulations, Australian Speedway Racing Rules and Regulations and these Supplementary Regulations.
ENTRY FEE: $250.00 if paid by 1st DECEMBER 2019
LATE ENTRY TO 14th DECEMBER 2019: $500.00
NOTE: The nomination fee includes FREE entry into the Championship Calcutta for the nominated driver.

CALCUTTA DINNER:
Thursday 19th December, 2019 to be held at Simpson Speedway Clubrooms @ 6.30pm
Cost: $35.00 per person (excluding nominated drivers)

Grid Draws will be conducted on the night.
ENTRY
Drivers must be holders of a current Speedway Australia racing licence, the current Formula 500’s Australia Rule/Log Book July 2019 & Australian Speedway Racing Rules & Regulations July 2019 to produce on demand.
Drivers wishing to enter the Australian Speedway Championship must be familiar with the above mentioned Rules and Regulations.
Competitors must nominate online and pay the appropriate fee before being accepted.
Victorian Formula 500 Assn Inc reserves the right to accept or reject any entry and to amend or cancel any race should circumstances, in the opinion of the promoter warrant it.

SCRUTINEERING
Scrutineering will be held on Thursday 19th December from 10am - 3pm.
Times will be allocated. When nominating online, please indicate your preferred scrutineering time. Times cannot be guaranteed. Your official scrutineering time will be notified 1 week prior to the event. The car owner or the nominated driver, as a minimum, must attend scrutineering.
You will need to have with you - your car, your Licence, your Rule /Log book, a copy of your Engine seal paperwork and all racing apparel (and the cars Rule/ Log Book if you are not the owner of the car you are driving).
Any car not making their allocated scrutineering time will be processed after the last allocated time.
No scrutineering, no practice.
PRACTICE
Practice will be held on Thursday 19th December from 3.30pm – 5.30pm.
Gate admittance will be $10 per person with the appropriate Speedway Australia membership.
Drivers not wishing to practice may elect to have their car scrutineered on Friday morning 20 December.

SIGN IN
All drivers will be required to sign in at the Formula 500 trailer by 4pm each day unless otherwise advised.
TRANSPONDERS
Electronic timing Transponders will be used.
Transponders are available for Hire at $35.00 for the weekend.
Drivers will be liable for lost or damaged hired transponders or any hired transponder not returned.
Any car not having a working transponder may not be lap scored.
Any car crossing the start/finish line under the pole line may not be lap scored.
All race results will be uploaded on www.speedhive.mylaps.com as soon as possible after each night.
WEIGHING OF CARS
Weighing of cars will be random after each race at the discretion of the Chief Steward.
Scales will be available prior to racing on each night
Drivers are to ensure their car complies with minimum weight using the supplied scales.
RACECEIVERS
All drivers are responsible for, and must race with, a working Raceceiver (and ear pieces).
LAP SCORING NUMBER;
As per Formula 500's Australia Inc Rule 18 (b) page 35 -
"...Number must be clearly visible and easily read. A Lap Scoring number to be positioned on the upper rear most corner of the aerofoil on the inside of the left-hand panel. This lap scoring number to be white on black or black on white background."
3 DAY RACE FORMAT –
Day 1 – 8.30am - Pits open
10am - 3pm Scrutineering,
3.30pm - 5.30pm Practice,
6.30pm - Calcutta.
Day 2 – Pits open -1.00pm

Round 4 of Heats, B Main, C Main (if warranted), A Main Final
Each driver will compete four times against a varied field. Draw to be done in such a way that all drivers will get a front quarter, 2nd quarter, 3rd quarter and a rear quarter. Points will be allocated for every position filled in each heat in accordance with the following schedule.

All Heats to be 10 laps. Maximum 13 cars per heat.
The 16 available cars with the highest points after all heat races will go directly into the A-Main.
The highest point scorer in the Championship heats, shall be allocated choice of front row positions (either position 1 or position 2) in the Final, prior to entering the track.
The next highest 16 available cars will go into the B main with the first 4 placed (available) cars transferring to the A-Main.
The next highest 20 available cars will go into the C main with the first 4 placed (available) cars transferring to the B-Main.
Any tied points will be determined by fastest lap time in the heats on the night as determined by the timing system.
A MAIN - 30 laps, B MAIN - 15 laps, C MAIN - 10 Laps
Reserves for Final: If less than 21 cars start the A Main, reserves may be used.
PRESENTATIONS
Presentations will be held as soon as possible after the final for each driver placed 1st to 5th in the final.
Presentations will take place on the infield
These drivers are to attend presentations in full race suit including racing footwear (without helmet or gloves) unless otherwise directed by the title coordinators

SIMPSON SPEEDWAY
TRACK DESCRIPTION:
Track Length: 395m – 1m out from the pole line
Track Surface: Dark Coastal Clay
Track Width: 15m front and back straight, 16m turns 1-2 & 3-4
Track Banking: 9° on front and back straight, 12° turns 1-2 & 3-4
Track Safety Barrier: Concrete wall.
CAR WASH
Pressure wash facilities will be available prior to the Calcutta dinner.
CALCUTTA
Drinks at reasonable prices will be available at the Calcutta. Definitely no B.Y.O.
LOCATION
Heytesbury Stockfeeds Simpson Speedway is located between Avalon and Warrnambool.
Although not on the Princes Highway the rural venue is easily located within 10 – 30 minutes
from a number of central locations to the venue and just 13km NNE of the Simpson township.
ACCOMMODATION
