Important Information

The Doctor is a 27km open water paddling event which requires significant open water experience. You must have the specific skills and experience to compete in this event.

RULES, EQUIPMENT AND EVIDENCE OF OCEAN PADDLING EXPERIENCE

Please ensure you have read the full updated 2019 Rules and Equipment page as outlined on the event website prior to continuing with this online entry.

You will be required to list a previous event from a list, which you have completed to show evidence of ocean paddling experience. Refer to the Rules and Equipment page for further details.  

Equipment scrutineering will take place at registration on Friday 22nd Nov and on Rottnest Island prior to race start. You must bring to registration on Friday your mandatory equipment to be checked.

LIVE EVENT TRACKING - SAFETRX APP

Live event tracking will be available for The Doctor event using the Coast Guard SafeTrx App. The app will allow the event organiser and spectators to track competitors live GPS location during the event via the web. The competitor will carry their smartphone in a waterproof bag using the SafeTrx App and will be able to watch a replay after the event. Download the SafeTrx App now. Click here for full details.


ELITE CATEGORY (SKIS ONLY)

The Elite Category is for those competitors that wish to be eligible for prize money. Prize money will be awarded to the following categories. An additional fee applies if you wish to enter the Elite Category. If the brand of ski you are paddling is one of the sponsors of the event you are exempt from this fee. The sponsors of the event are: FENN.

  • Top 3 in Under 19 Male Ski
  • Top 3 in Under 19 Female Ski
