WHITE BALLOON DAY Coastal 2019 - Fri Sept 6th 2019.

Bravehearts’ White Balloon Day is Australia’s largest and longest running campaign dedicated to preventing child sexual assault.

Held annually during National Child Protection Week, on the first Friday of September, White Balloon Day unites communities to make a commitment to protecting kids.

This will be the fourth running of the White Balloon Day Coastal marathon event proudly supporting BRAVEHEARTS.
The event is not held on the weekend but on the Friday as this is the actual White Balloon Day national campaign day. .

This event consists of a triple marathon challenge all in one day.
A midnight marathon followed by a 6:00am marathon followed by a 1:00pm marathon. You can choose to run 1, 2, or all 3 marathons (in any order). If you choose to run more than one marathon then you must be ready to start the next event on time. The cut-offs would be 6 hours for the first marathon, 7 hours for the second marathon and a relaxed 8 hours for the last marathon. Headlamps or torches are needed for the midnight marathon and possibly the first 45 mins of the 6:00am marathon and possibly the last portion of the 3rd marathon.
There is also a 10km & 21.1km distance with the 6:00am start.

You receive a medal for each distance & marathon completed and if you complete all 3 marathons then you will receive an additional special triple marathon medal.

It will be held along the coastline starting from the Semaphore foreshore on Friday September 6th 2019 (White Balloon Day) starting at midnight Thurs night.
All runners and walkers are welcome.

The entire course is on the coastal walk/cycle path.

Every finisher of every distance receives a Bravehearts finishers medal.
If you enter all 3 marathons then the cost is $90.

6:00am - 10km, 21.1km & 42km
1:00pm - 42km

Registration closes Wed Sept 4th at 12 midday. 

Don't forget to request to join our "team BRAVERUNNER" Facebook group if you have run or volunteered at any of our events. 

 Don't forget also if you have run at least one marathon or intend to run one with a view to running many more then you can request to join our "BRAVERUNNER AUSNZ 100 Marathon Club" Facebook group and online club.
