INDEMNITY
MOTORCYCLE RACING IS DANGEROUS AND CAN RESULT IN INJURY TO COMPETITORS AND DAMAGE TO MACHINERY
These supplementary regulations and online entry form are important documents, which affect your legal rights and obligations. Read these documents carefully and do not enter this competition unless you are completely satisfied that you understand the contents and agree to be bound by them.


1. ANNOUNCEMENT
Dirt High Promotions, known as the promoter, will conduct the meeting in accordance with the General Competition Rules of Motorcycling Australia (GCR’s), these supplementary regulations & any additions or amendments approved by Motorcycling Western Australia.

2. JURISDICTION
The abovementioned meeting has been authorized by Motorcycling Western Australia which has issued a Motorcycling Australia Permit for an Open Permit and is open to all Junior Competition licence holders and to a minimum standard of a One Event Meeting Licence Holder.

3. OFFICIALS
Officials are appointed with the approval of Motorcycling Western Australia. Control will be under the Clerk of Course with the supervision from the Steward/s of the meeting who reserve the right to alter, postpone or cancel all or part of the event program if required, without notice. The Steward is appointed by Motorcycling Western Australia.

4. CLASSES OF COMPETITION
50cc Non Competitive trail rider
65cc 7-u13
85cc 9-u12
85cc 12-u16
80-160cc 4 str 9-u16
Up to 200cc 2 str, 250cc 4 str
Girls 85cc – 230cc

4.1. Eligible Machines: Motorcycles do not need to be registered and must be suitable for MX or Enduro racing. Extra machine will be allowed but the machine must go through machine examination in the time specified.

4.2. Machine Numbering: Riders will be issued with numbers at rider registration unless they have numbers issued to them by Motorcycling Western Australia, riders with allocated numbers must complete the field with the number issued.

4.3. Minimum/Maximum Riders: The minimum to constitute a class will be 3, classes may be altered to suit entries received.

5. ENTRY FEES AND CONDITIONS
50cc Entry $66.00
Entry fees: $77.00 per rider + $15.00 Transponder
One Event Competition Licence: $75.00 (if applicable, available only to current JCP log book holders)

5.1. Closing date for entries: Entries will close for Pre-Entry 3 days prior to the event.

A Cancellation fee of $20.00 will be incurred to cover administration costs.

6. MACHINE EXAMINATION
Pits will open 6:00am. Machine examination from 7:00am to 8:00am.

All competitors must present themselves at registration with their MA license, proof of current club membership, Current JCP Log Book.
Helmets and Boots will be inspected at machine examination. Full riding gear will be inspected on start line prior to practice.
ALL MACHINES MUST CONFORM TO THE GCR’s.

6.1. RIDERS MEETING
A riders meeting will be held 8:10 All riders must attend.
Escorted practice lap at 8:20am followed immediately by Prologue.

6.2. START METHOD

1. Prologue:
Prologue will commence after sighting lap.
Starting order for prologue will be by class largest capacity machines ascending where possible. Riders will start 1 at a time every 5 seconds. Transponder lap times will be used to allocate start position faster to slowest.
2. Start:
Start method will be a live engine start at 10:30am
Starting riders will be in order of prologue results
There will be a five (5) second interval between rider start times.

6.3. FINISH METHOD
The chequered flag will be waved 2 hours after the first start.


7. THE COURSE
Loop 1 - 7km’s, Accompanied - Non Competitive
Loop 2 - 10-20 km’s long, repeated over a 2 hours duration for the first race and 1 hour for the second, consisting of Natural Terrain Paddock and grass lands.

8. RACE FORMAT
The Cross Country is an Offroad, Natural Terrain continuous multi-lap event.

2 scored races per round:
Race 1 – 2 hours
Race 2 – 1 hour
Race 1 and 2 will be separated by a 30 minute break.

All competitive classes complete as may laps as they can over firstly a 2 hour time period then a 1 hour time period.

The Winner in each class will be the riders who complete the most laps in the least amount of elapsed race time.

Each race will be scored separately then winner of each class is that rider with the most points allocated as per the GCR’s.


8.1. AWARDS
Trophies: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each class where 3 teams or more entries are received.
If there are less than 3 teams, then the classes may be combined with the approval of the Clerk of Course.


8.2. FIRST AID
First Aid personnel will be in attendance.
It is a condition of entry that First Aid MUST be accepted wherever deemed necessary by the attending first aides.
The Steward of the day has the right to refuse further racing of a rider if first aide requirements are not adhered to.

8.3. Ambulance Cover All riders are reminded that ambulance cover is compulsory as a condition of your licence.

8.4. NO HASSLE POLICY
Any rider or entrant or person associated with the rider or entrant shall conduct themselves in an orderly manner. A rider shall be responsible for his own conduct and that of any person with whom he is associated. Anyone who abuses or threatens personally or physically any official or any other person present at the event shall lie deemed to be in Breach of this rule.
The Steward for a breach of this rule may impose PENALTIES on the day of this meeting i.e.:
*Reprimand or warning. *Fine. *Expulsion from the meeting. All breaches will be reported to MWA for possible further action.

8.5. GENERAL RULES
a) No alcoholic beverages allowed in pits or racing circuit.
b) No Smoking in any area where re-fuelling is carried out
c) There will be no riding of bikes other than on the track or designated lane way.
d) Animals will not be permitted (service dogs accepted).
