Welcome to the Bunbury Tri Club 2019 Hastie Shield Duathlon Series.

The Bunbury Tri Club will hold a three race duathlon series during the off season of 2019 in July, August and September with all the events to be run at the same location – Turkey Point, which is behind the Bunbury Port on the road to the cut. Access is via the Port Authority main gate.
All three races are sponsored by F45 training. Prizes are awarded for the series but to be eligible you need to have competed in all 3 races and be s current 2019/2020 financial club member.

Juniors aged 12 and 13 must have a Chaperone as our events are not held on closed roads. Application to ride unchaperoned at the age of 13 may be made in writing to the Bunbury Triathlon Club committee for approval. 

There will be 3 race distances which Include

Long – 5km run, 20km bike, 2.5km run.

Short – 2.5km run, 10km bike, 1.25km run.

Trystars – 400m run, 1km bike, 200m run – subject to conditions and may be changed.

Race Costs

Bunbury Tri Club member – no charge – you must register prior to the race
Non BTC members – you must register prior to the race.
Short course – $20.00 per race or $45.00 for all 3 races
Long course – $30.00 per race or $75.00 for all 3 races
Trystars – $10.00 per race or $25.00 for all 3 races
Race entry fee includes a day licence from TWA for insurance purposes.

Race Dates

Race 1 – Sunday July 14  – 8am Race start.
Race 2 – Sunday August 11  – 8am Race start
Race 3 – Sunday September 15 – 8am Race start

Volunteers / Marshalls are required at each club race:
To ensure things run smoothly at Club Races we request the help of our volunteers. If you are able to help out
please contact Caroline Cousins prior to race day.

The Bunbury Tri Club will be putting on a BBQ breakfast after the races for a $2.00 donation.
There will be a coffee van on site.
