As long as you have a bike that is safe (i.e. brakes work), a helmet and some running shoes you can participate! 

Ages 4-14

Registration 8 am

Race Briefing 8:30 am

Start Time 8:45 am

Bring the kids down to the grass area opposite the Cannery Arts Centre on Norseman Road to complete in their own triathlon.  Children 6 and under need to be accompanied by a parent.

Essentials include:

  • Bike
  • Helmet
  • Runners
  • Shirt (if torso not covered by bathers)

Guidelines for race day

In order to keep all participants safe while competing, its important that each athlete follows the rules to make sure the event is enjoyable for everyone.

Swim Rules:

  • If a swim cap is provided by the race organizer, it is compulsory that each participant wears that swim cap.
  • Participants are not allowed to use any flotation devices e.g pool noodles, flippers or floaties unless provided by the event
Ride Rules:
  • Each participant must have a well fitting helmet which is to be worn at all times during the cycle course
  • All participants must have their torso covered (singlet, t-shirt, one piece bathing suit, rash vest, trisuit, cycling top) at all times while on the cycle course
  • All participants must be wearing closed toe shoes at all times while on the cycle course 
  • If a race number is provided, this must be worn at all times during the cycle course
Run Rules:
  • All participants must have their torso covered (singlet, t-shirt, one piece bathing suit, rash vest, trisuit, cycling top) at all times while on the run course
  • All participants must be wearing closed toe shoes at all times while on the run course
  • If a race number is provided, this must be worn at all times during the run course
Transition Rules:
  • All participants must mount and dismount their bike at the appropriate marked zones
  • No 'scooting' is allowed before the mount line
