Details on the course:

With the recent Busselton Full and Half (70.3) Ironman done and dusted, the long course enthusiasts and aspirants  amongst us will already be setting sights on arguably the biggest race on our local triathlon calendar – the Sun Smart Busselton IM 70.3 in May. It’s an awesome race and given its position at the back end of the season, perfectly placed to provide every athlete the opportunity to perform at their absolute best.

But performing at your absolute best and realising your true potential doesn’t just happen; it can only be the reward for what must be a committed and purposeful preparation and training journey. Whilst you’re busy at work making this happen though - It doesn’t mean you can’t have fun doing it.

So with the motto ‘Plan, Prepare, Perform’ this is where the NCTC Turtles come in.

For the past three years now the club has been providing a long course specific program for its members. With continued improvement and fine tuning, the squad and the results of its members have been going from strength to strength and with record squad numbers for the recent Busselton IM / 70.3, the North Coast Triathlon Club is again pleased to announce its Long Course program for the upcoming Busselton IM 70.3 on May 4 will be available to its members.

The 14 week program commencing Monday January 28 will once again be managed by club coach Brad Hosking. With 15 years in the sport racing successfully over all distances, Brad’s true passion though, has and continues to be the full and half iron disciplines; a passion that has also seen him specialise in these distances alone for the past nine years of his coaching journey. Going long – especially at Busso, is Coach Brad’s absolute bread and butter.

A father of two with a full time working wife, Brad understands deeply the impacts and challenges that preparing for a long course triathlon have on the individual athlete and the support team around them. It is this combination of his intimate understanding of the elements each athlete face, extensive experience as an athlete himself (on the Busselton course especially) and nine years of long course specific coaching, that has Brad exceptionally well placed to help you navigate, prepare for and achieve in your Busselton IM 70.3 journey.

Regardless of your ability, whether you’re a first timer or multi finisher, if you’re looking to compete in the upcoming Busselton IM 70.3, wish to maximise every minute of your precious available time, extensively expand your understanding and knowledge base and do it all within a super fun, highly motivating squad environment, then it’s time to become a Turtle and see first-hand for yourself what it’s all about.
