TRAQ is excited to be the host of the 2019 Australian and Queensland Mountain Running Championships at Camp Mountain. This event caters for 16+ year old runners from participant to elite level.
This event provides the selection races for the Australian Mountain Running Team 2019, which will compete at the World Mountain Running Championships in Argentina on 15 November 2019.
There are 5 different races/starts. Just note that the schedule on the website recently changed, so please check.
Two races form the Australian and Queensland Junior Championship races of 9km, one for young men and one for young women, aged from16 up to 20 years old.*
Two races form the Australian and Queensland Open Championship races of 14km one for men and one for women aged 20 years and older, which incorporate the Masters categories.*
One is a non-championship race using the Junior Championship course; 9kms for men and women aged 16 and older.
All races are running events, so we expect you to be able to run all downhill and flat sections, but you may walk some of the uphill sections. We aim to have the 14km course cleared in 2 hours and the 9km course in 1hr and 20min.
Every entrant and volunteer receive an event buff as shown below. If you would like to volunteer for the event, please contact Hubertien on 0404 922 577 or email email@example.com.
