The Victorian Formula 500 Association is pleased to
announce that the 2018/2019
TJ Chassis Stampede Series is finalised.
We thank Mat, Kristen & Taylah at TJ Chassis for
taking on the role of major sponsor with the
Stampede
Series total prize money/prizes valued at over $20,000.00
The opening round will be held at Darlington Raceway
on October 27th 2018.
ENTRY :
Drivers wishing to enter the Stampede
Series please read the following sub regs thoroughly.
All competitors must nominate and pay the
appropriate fee online before being accepted as a driver in the Stampede Series.
ENTRY FOR A SINGLE ROUND :

A driver can enter one or a certain number
of rounds by filling out an entry form (available on registernow.com.au) and
pay an $80 entry fee (non-refundable) prior to 11.59pm on the Sunday before
race day or a $100 entry fee (non-refundable) prior to sign in of the round/s
that they wish to compete in. This does not include transponder hire if
applicable.

Drivers who
enter for a single round will start heats/finals in the grided draw.
ENTRY FOR THE ENTIRE SERIES (contracted
drivers) :
·
*Competitors
can enter as a full series entrant by filling out the entry form (available on registernow.com.au) and pay
a $350 entry fee (non-refundable) prior to 11.59pm - Sunday 21st October 2018. This does not include transponder hire if
applicable.
·
Late entries for full series is available
until sign in on the first round. A $500 entry fee (non refundable) is payable
and you will not be featured on the series poster.
·
The contracted drivers are not required to
pre nominate for any series round, they will be automatically entered into each
round.
·
*CONTRACTED DRIVER WILL BE FEATURED ON A POSTER TO BE
HANDED OUT AT EACH ROUND OF THE SERIES. Drivers
may be required for approx 5-10 mins each round to hand out posters. Drivers will need to supply a high
quality photo of their car if they wish to be on the poster no later than
Sunday 21st October.
SIGN IN :
·
Sign in time
means car and driver are to be in the pits by the specified
times.
·
All drivers will be required to sign in
with the series assistants AT THE
SERIES TRAILER before the sign-in deadline time. It is your responsibility to sign in at the
series trailer, we will not come looking for you.
·
ANY DRIVER WHO DOES NOT ENTER OR SIGN IN ON RACE NIGHT
BY THE SIGN IN TIME WILL START BOTH HEATS FROM THE REAR OF FIELD (NO EXCUSES)
·
If there is any changes to sign in times, contracted
drivers will be notified by text message as soon as possible.
·
Any single round entrants, it is your responsibility to find out off the
co-ordinator on race day if sign in time has changed.
GRID DRAWS
All grid draws will be placed up at the
series trailer as soon as they are ready, it is your responsibility to check
which heat/position you are in before going out onto the track to race.
FORMAT
Grid positions for heat 1 at the first
round contested will be marble draw at sign in.
The second round of heats is an inversion
of the first round of heats with inside and outside rows swapping - Heats will
be 10 laps
The lowest 20 cars in points will qualify
for the B-Main, the remainder will automatically qualify for the A-Main
(Maximum 36cars). B-Main will be run on
track discretion otherwise top 20 cars straight into the A-Main.
B-Main will be maximum 20 cars – 15 laps
A-Main – once 20 cars have qualified for
the A-Main, there will be a random draw for an invert for the first 4 rows.
Pole driver will draw either number 1, 2, 3 or 4. 1 being no invert, 2 being
top 2 rows invert, 3 being top 3 rows invert and 4 being top 4 rows invert. (eg
pole driver will now start in position 8, 2nd will start position 7th
and so on until 8th starts in position 1)
Rounds contested after round 1 –
Heat 1 will be seeded on series points on
the drivers attending the night.
·
Eg : Heat 1a, Series points leader along
with 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th etc in
series. With the series leader starting out of position 1.
·
Heat 1b, 2nd in series points
along with 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th etc
in series. With 2nd in series starting out of position 1.
Heats may be switched around each night on
co-ordinators discretion.
Any new entrants will be gridded by
average series points as determined by co-ordinator for their first heat
(Marble draw required for all new entrants on the night)
Heat 2, the B-Main and A-Main will the
same for all rounds.
ANY TIED POINTS WILL BE DETERMINED BY
FASTEST LAP TIME ON THE NIGHT AS DETERMINED BY THE TIMING SYSTEM. IF LAP TIMES
ARE NOT AVAILABLE, TIED STARTING POSITIONS WILL BE DETERMINED BY A MARBLE DRAW.
Late entries/sign in will start at the
rear of the field, in either heat A or B as determined by the series
co-ordinator.
There will be no reserves in either finals

:
Will be conducted at the series trailer or
at the track presentations as soon as possible after the race meeting. Top 4 in
the A-Main final are required to attend in race suit. (penalties apply)

ANY CAR NOT FINISHING A FINAL WILL GET LAST PLACE
FINISHING POINTS FOR THAT FINAL ACCORDING TO CAR NUMBERS.
NOTE:
Any car starting but not finishing any final
will receive championship points according to the order in which they pulled
out. First dnf gets last position points, 2nd dnf gets second last position
points and so on.
In the event that cars pull out on the
same lap, they will be determined by their last lap position.
*If a car is given the mechanical defect
flag by the chief steward, they must pull infield and will receive last
finishing points available in all heats and finals.
STAMPEDE SERIES WINNER :
• The winner of the Stampede Series will be the driver
who has amassed the highest amount of points at
the completion of all the contested rounds.
• In the event of drivers with the same amount of points
at the end of the series, there will be no ties.
• Tied points will be split by most feature wins if
still tied feature 2nds, etc. until the tie is split.
• The same will occur with all tied positions.
IMPORTANT:If you are entering as a contracted driver you must be
entered by Sunday 21st October.
PRACTISE :
We have asked each track promoter for a hot
laps session before the start of the first round of heats. Drivers are to form
up in race order immediately after the completion of their hot lap session (behind
the pace car (if permitted) unless specified on the night.
LICENCES :
You must bring your licence to sign in at each
round.
ROOKIES :
All rookies are to start a minimum of 3
race meeting ROF (including finals).
STICKER KITS :
Sponsor sticker kits will be available at every
round. Sticker decal is to be placed on the front roll of the top wing placed
appropriately up the correct way. Please ask if you are unsure of where it is
to be placed, as failure to have sticker kit on the front roll of the top wing,
during any race will mean you will be ineligible for prize money or points for
the entire night. If you need to change top wings there will be extra stickers
available from the Series co-ordinators at the series trailer and it is your
responsibility to make sure you obtain the sticker kits prior to each
heat/final if necessary.
STAMPEDE SERIES PRIZE MONEY :
*Prize money is subject to change
depending on car count.
All prize money will direct debited into
your account approx 1 week after the completed race.
Please make sure your bank details are
correct as there will be a $20 admin fee for incorrect bank details.
(Deducted out of your payout)
All cars competing will take home a Minimum
of $100 and maximum of $250 per round for the feature win. More than 24
cars=guaranteed $500 for the win.
High points will also earn an extra $200
for the night.
Sashes will be awarded each race meeting
for the top 4 drivers in the feature.
STAMPEDE SERIES END OF SERIES PRIZE MONEY :
There will be approximately $3000 to be
paid to the top drivers in prizes/prize money at the end of the Stampede
Series.
All end of prize money will be direct
debited after the end of year presentation dinner
NOISE/MUFFLERS :
All mufflers to be a minimum of 350mm in
length for a packed or 250mm for a baffled muffler. It is the driver’s
responsibility to have their muffler in a working condition that will help
reduce or suppress noise.
TRANSPONDERS and RACECEIVERS
Electronic timing (Transponders) and
Racecievers will be used at all rounds and all cars must have
them fitted in order to race.
Drivers are responsible for providing
their own Transponder, Raceceiver and ear pieces.
Transponders used will be AMB TranX 260
transponders. Drivers will be responsible for lost or
damaged transponders or any transponder
not returned. This must be paid with your entry form.
Transponders are available for Hire at
$20.00 per night for any driver not wishing to purchase their own. All drivers
are to ensure their personnel Transponder is charged prior to attending the
race meeting.
Any car not having a working transponder
may not be lap scored. Transponder to be
mounted to cars in accordance with rule 22 Formula 500 Specifications. Any car
crossing the start finish line under the pole line may not be lap scored. In
all cases where electronic timing is used the transponder loop will be
considered to be the start finish line.
NOTE : NO WORKING RACECEIVER – YOU MAY
BE SENT ROF OR INFIELD BY INFIELD MARSHALLS.
Batteries for raceceivers will be
available at the series trailer each round.

Please make sure your mobile phone number is correct on the nomination
form.
Racing starts approximately one hour after sign-in deadline.
Only drivers who are signed in on time will start in their drawn heat
position.
Any single round entrants, who have not nominated, it is your
responsibility to find out off the co-ordinator on race day if sign in time has
changed.
Late sign in will start BOTH heats from REAR OF FIELD. NO EXCUSES
