Registration closes on:

Please do not proceed with this nomination unless you have read, understood, and are willing to abide by the High Performance Program Athlete Agreement for 2018/19.

The Athlete Agreement is available on the AFF website (under High Performance Program - HPP Forms and Documents). It is not necessary to physically sign the agreement, as consent to comply with the terms and conditions of the agreement is incorporated within the nomination process.

Fencers should carefully review the fee provisions of the Athlete Agreement as well as the training and competition obligations before deciding whether to nominate for the High Performance Program.

Joining the High Performance Program is a significant commitment. Athletes must attend the designated training camps and squad sessions and be available to compete at the designated international competitions (if selected). Exceptions will not generally be made for individual circumstances such as conflicting educational or work requirements, costs of travel, personal concerns about the location of events or inconvenience associated with the timing of events. Accordingly, fencers are advised to plan ahead and obtain any necessary approvals before committing to the program.

Selections for the High Performance Program are made in accordance with sections A4.16 to A4.22 of the AFF Selection Policy. Fencers and their parents are encouraged to review these sections of the policy (including the threshold requirements set out in Appendices F and G), to ensure they nominate for the correct HPP category (AFT or AFS). Fencers who nominate for the AFT will be taken to have also nominated for the AFS (in the event that they are not selected for the AFT).

The amount paid on nomination for the HPP is a deposit only and will be offset against payments due under the Athlete Agreement (or refunded in the case of non-selection).

The AFF's Privacy Policy applies to all personal information collected here, and can be reviewed on the AFF Web Site (Documents and Policies, All Documents and Policies, Privacy Policy - click here).
