Bruce Fordyce International Comrades Course Tour:
In May 2017 was asked to put together a Comrades course tour, which was a little more boutique than the Official CMA tours.
I asked around for a tour leader, and the only person who wanted to do it was some guy named “Bruce Fordyce”.
I tried to explain to him that we needed somebody who knew the course, and how to actually run Comrades.
He thought about it for a bit, and decided that what he did not know, he could just make up, after all he said:
“I have only finished Comrades 30 times, including my 9 wins, so I still have a bit to learn, but nobody will notice”
Then he insisted that we name the course tour after him and now he wants to lead it again in 2018.
So here we go:
Friday 8th June 2018
8-00AM(0800hrs): Depart The Durban Hilton
1-30PM (1330hrs): Return to The Durban Hilton (subject to traffic)
We will see:
-The Comrades Course
-Stop at Comrades Wall and Arthurs Seat.
-Stop for morning tea/coffee (with a piece of cake), over looking “The Valley of 1000 Hills”.
-Stop at the top of Inchanga and Polly Shortts for a photo opportunity. (time permitting)
All this for R750-00/person, which online you will have to pay as $AUD80-00, because I cannot workout how to do it in Rand.
