Exercise Training and Heart Failure Workshop

This one day course offers exercise specialists clinical and evidenced based information on current practices relating to exercise training and heart failure. Topics include promoting exercise adherence, interpreting 6MWT and other field tests, use of technology, nutrition, thermoregulatory considerations, HIIT and sports cardiology specific to exercise training and heart failure.

Participants:

Full day registration is suitable for physiotherapists, accredited exercise physiologists and nurses with experience or an interest in cardiology.   Sessions are delivered by a multi-disciplinary team of experienced academics and clinicians.

Guest keynote speakers for this event include Professor Andre La Gerche (Head of Sports Cardiology at the Baker Heart & Diabetes Institute) and Dr Renae McNamara (Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist at Prince of Wales Hospital).

CPD:  6 hours
