“Take your Mark” is when swimmers are called by officials to find their spot on their starting blocks. It’s the beginning of a race that can either make or break the rest of the swim.

You’re invited to join SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre Ambassador, Brenton Ragless as he looks back at his “start in the pool” and the eclectic mix of corporate, community and personal experiences that followed, leading to his current role as a TV news anchor with Channel Nine Adelaide.

In looking back at his own pathway, Brenton also touches on the history of South Australia’s love for aquatics, and how being true to our past is key to defining our future.
