Running Events

The two running events within the Mt Arthur Challenge both leave from the Wellington Showground and traverse the beautiful Mt Arthur Reserve.

The 'Wedgetail Challenge' and 'Wallaby Run' events take place on roadways and narrow bush trails with uneven surfaces. We encourage you to look at the information, rules, requirements, maps and elevation profiles provided for each event on the Mt Arthur Challenge website prior to completing your registration.

Single lane and road closures will be in place during the event. Marshals will be stationed along the running courses and drink stations will be provided.

Please ensure you are fit enough to complete your chosen running event within 2 hours.

For more details please refer to the Mt Arthur Challenge website.

Cycling Event

Experience the cycling opportunities the Wellington countryside has to offer!

The 50km 'Limestone Ride' heads out through the Mt Arthur Reserve along Bushranger's Creek Road and on to Arthurville and Suntop. Riders turn left at Fingerpost and follow Renshaw McGirr Way back to Wellington Showground. We encourage you to look at the information, rules, requirements, maps and elevation profiles provided for this event on the Mt Arthur Challenge website prior to completing your registration.

Please be aware that whilst traffic management will be in place at the start and finish of the ride, riders will be sharing the road with traffic throughout the course (ie there will be no road closures associated with the ride). Escort vehicles will however be provided and warning signage will be erected.

Bikes must be in good condition and of a style suited to road cycling over a 50km distance. Please be aware that no formal aid stations will be provided along the route and you will need to carry your own water and puncture repair kit.

Please ensure that you are fit enough to complete the cycling course in 3 hours. After this cut-off time riders who choose to continue will do so as unsupported solo cyclists under normal road conditions.

For more details please refer to the Mt Arthur Challenge website.

BEFORE YOU REGISTER:

Please make sure you are familiar with all of the event information provided on the Mt Arthur Challenge website for your chosen event.

Maps and elevation profiles can be found via the 'Running' and 'Cycling' pages. Rules and requirements can also be found at 'Important Event Information' and further guidance is included in our FAQs. Please take the time to read all of this information prior to registering.

MERCHANDISE:

Mt Arthur Challenge T-shirts and dri-wear shirts are available for purchase with your registration. These shirts are PRE-ORDER ONLY - they will not be available for purchase on the day of the event. T-shirt orders close on 28 June 2018. For further details head to www.mtarthurchallenge.org.au/merchandise.html

A NOTE ABOUT TEAMS:

The 2018 Mt Arthur Challenge is welcoming team registrations from businesses, clubs, social teams etc.

Teams must be made up of a minimum of 4 people all competing in the same event. Please ensure that all members of your team are entered in the same event on their team registration. Individuals within a team cannot compete in different events (ie a team cannot have one person in the 5km run, another in the 9km run, and other members in the 50km ride).

The winning team in each event will be the team with the fastest total time of their first four members to cross the finish line. A single team prize will be awarded to the winning team in each event.
