Beyond Beginners is a continuation program designed for participants who have already completed the INCC three week Beginner Program, but are not confident enough to decide whether to join as a member of INCC.

Beyond Beginners comprises 2 lessons (min 1 hour each) with a Level 1 qualified coach, with all equipment provided.  Scheduling of the session will be flexible to suit the needs of the participants.  The cost for the course is $90.

To be eligible, you must have completed the INCC Beginner Program in the last 6-12 months.  Your registration may not be accepted if this cannot be confirmed.  (To discuss your eligibility if in doubt, please contact us at coach@incc.org.au). 

The program will re-familiarize participants with the basic principles and skills covered in the INCC 3 week learn to paddle course (Beginner Program) and to further extend skills.  Particular emphasis will be placed on gaining on water confidence and self sufficiency, if paddling alone.

Please remember to wear or bring the following to each session:

  • shorts or bike pants

  • T-shirt (quick drying non-cotton preferred) or if weather is cool, a long sleeved thermal

  • reef shoes, booties or plastic sandals (no thick shoes, bulky soles or thongs) - no bare feet.

  • if you wear glasses, please use a lanyard to secure them or wear contact lenses

  • towel and change of clothes

  • water bottle
