TOUR DE GRACETOWN - SATURDAY 3rd Nov 2018
BREAKING NEWS ! NEW ROUTE – NEW CHALLENGES – ADDITIONAL PARTNERS IN THIS PREMIER SOUTH WEST CHARITY RIDE!
Welcome to the 2018 Tour de Gracetown where we are privileged to have the City of Belmont Rotary Club as our naming rights sponsor for another year. The City of Belmont Rotary Club are synonymous with charitable acts and community works as they make a difference in the life of our local communities and in this instance, the Tour de Gracetown. We are also indebted to Walter Bonnet from Acquest Financial Services for bringing all parties together in the spirit of community and charity which, for the third year running, benefits the Ladybird Foundation.
For 2018 the Event will once again start at the Gracetown Hall in Gracetown where it all began some 13 years previously. For the second time this event will have over very own Timing system which will be used as safety timing chips as well as to provide riders with a definite time which they can compare over the years. This is where the tradition ends as we have carved out a new route that will take you towards the northern sector of the South West coast in the midst of the many established wineries and finishing at Juniper Estate, Margaret River
Check out the two routes here:
Longer Distance 108.5 km
Shorter Distance: 58 km
We can also be proud of the fact that we are probably one of the original Western Australian based ride events that donate our proceeds to local charities and for the second year running we have chosen the Ladybird Foundation as the beneficiary. To make it uniquely Australian – the entire event management team as well as associated companies working towards the success of TDG are also Australian and we ensure that our event contributes to the local infrastructure and the economy.
We are definitely not a road race but instead a social community ride for charity – and we have created realistic average speed groups so that riders who are signing up can self-seed themselves and also invite their friends to sign up appropriately.
