2018 WomDomNom

Welcome!
"WomDomNom" is a fully supported organised four day 155km paddle starting from Wellington on Thursday 22 November 2018. It travels through Dubbo and onto Narromine over 4 days.

It is designed to be recreational paddle, with an emphasis to encourage paddling on the Macquarie River. It is a fully supported paddle, with your camping equipment transported between camping spots. All meals and soft drinks are provided over the 4 days, and you will be on the water for roughly 6 hours per day.

Why "WomDomNom"? It stands for Wellington on Macquarie (Wom), Dubbo on Macquarie (Dom), Narromine on Macquarie (Nom)!

The paddle costs are $80 per day, so $320 for the four (4) days.

On day 1, Thursday 22 November 2018, the paddlers will travel 36km before stopping for the day at Bril Bral reserve, where everyone will camp for the evening.

On day 2, Friday 23 November 2018, the paddlers will travel 43km to our overnight campsite, the Sandy Beach in Dubbo.

Day 3, Saturday 24 November 2018, the paddlers will travel 36km from Dubbo to our overnight campsite at Dickygundi Reserve.

On day 4,  Sunday 25 November 2018, the paddlers will paddle 36km to Narromine, where the  paddle will conclude.

The 2018 "WomDomNom" will again support the great work the "Black Dog Institute" does to help people suffering depression, Bipolar and other mental illnesses.
