You are minutes away from claiming your spot in this exciting new challenge for Launceston: to complete, on foot, as much of a 100km, fully-connected urban/trail circuit as you can in 48 hours!
Once the clock strikes midnight on April 6th you have 48 hours, until midnight on April 8th, to complete as much of the 100km circuit as you can!
You can start at any time and start at any point on the Training Run circuit. And you can do, or leave, any parts of the Training Run course as you like. The only requirement is the direction of the course.
Using Tailrace Park, Riverside, as a reference point, the 100km circuit proceeds towards Launceston, then towards Mowbray. The sequence of suburbs after this point is as follows: Alanvale, Newnham, Rocherlea, Mowbray, Vermont, Ravenswood, Waverley, St Leonards, Reblia, Franklin Village, Youngtown, Kings Meadows, Prospect Vale, Blackstone Heights, Summerhill, Trevallyn and back to Riverside. You can start at any point on the 100km course, but keep the direction the same.
All maps (including .gpx, and .kmz), course notes and info packs are available at www.ascentfitness.com.au. You can also download information about Ascent Fitness' Training Run Boot Camp which walks particpants around the entire course over several weekends before Easter.
