The format is to have multiple boats and styles of sailing represented, with performance sailors familiar with each, helping to facilitate the sessions. Kids will rotate through the clinics over the 3 days.
Windshift Wanaka runs from Jan 9th thru 11th it is an overnight camp with accommodation and meals provided and the kids will stay together in a well-supervised group environment.
We have an Open Bic regatta immediately following the camp and the Nationals are in Queenstown the following week. In addition to the on-water sessions, there will be an evening presentation on sailing career pathways and other evening group activities.
We are in some regards harnessing the renewed momentum recently generated in youth sailing and endeavoring to present the options out there in modern sailing, in a fun, engaging, thoughtful way.
