Introduction to Trauma Physiotherapy
(formally "Basic Acute Trauma Course for Physiotherapists")
Date: Friday November 17th, 2017

Topics to include: Overview of trauma management and systems, neurological trauma + TBI, PTA
management, spinal trauma, bracing + orthotics, chest trauma, early rehabilitation and
discharge planning.
A more detailed course program will be posted on the website closer to the date.
This course is aimed at new graduate physiotherapists and those with limited acute trauma experience. The content presented in this course will include basic acute trauma injury profiles and acute physiotherapy assessment and management skills. This course will include lectures, as well as small group-based case studies.
Registration Fee: $180 (inclusive of GST & refreshments/lunch)
