Welcome to the Camp Mountain Trails Challenge on the TRAQ calendar.  It’s a collaboration between TRAQ and Queensland Athletics to incorporate the Queensland Mountain Running Championships and the Xtreme Country for the 8 – 15 year olds.

The various race courses from 1km through to 13.3km are designed to suit different ages and consist of well-constructed forestry trails. You don't need to be fast or aim for medals to participate. You may just want to see it as a personal challenge or as a social outing and run with a group of friends.

The 13.3km event however is for runners only, we expect you to be able to run at least all of the flat and downhill sections. If you would like to walk, you have to opt for the 8.3km event.

For the 8.3km event you will be automatically allocated your start wave according to your gender. (men 8.3km 8.00am and women 8.3km 8:05am).

Men, please email hubertien.wichers@gmail.com, If you would like to run in a mixed gender group / pair,  then we will allocate you to the 8:05am wave. This means however, that these men are not eligible for championship medals.

In the registration process your eligible categories will automatically pop up for you. Please note that you need to be a TRAQ and or Qld Athletics member to take advantage of the discount.

Below is an overview of the program, age groups, fees and medals. Please read the rules below the table as well.
