Northland Champs/O’pen Cup

Hi Sailors,

This is where you register for the 2017 Northland O’pen Cup
being held at Taipa Sailing Club  September 15th - 17th, 2017.

Please follow the prompts below to register as a competitor.

NOTE: All participants are required to be current season members of the NZOBA. This is a one off annual cost of $30NZD.  You can become a member of NZOBA HERE.

Northland O'pen Cup
Event Dates: 15-17 September 2017

Food and Fun Stuff: 

The team at Taipa Sailing Club have put together a great program for the weekend as follows:

Lunches
For each regatta day (Saturday and Sunday), there will be lunch available to purchase for $12.  This will be a filled roll (ham, chicken, vegetarian) a piece of fruit and something sweet.  It will also include a hot milo at the end of the day.   All lunches can be paid for by cash on the day, but lunch orders must be received by the 15th of September. Please email Taipasailingclub@gmail.com to advise which days the lunches are for and your choice of filling.

 
Social Events
On Friday evening there is a quiz night, 5:30pm at the Ramada Resort, tickets are $15p/adult, $10p/children, Sailors are free. Tickets include the following food - Selection of Pizzas, Sausage Rolls, Mini Savouries, Cocktail Sausages, Club Sandwiches.   The bar will also be open.

On Saturday evening we will have a BBQ Dinner at the clubhouse straight after sailing.  There is a charge of $12 per head for this meal which will include a main and dessert.  This can be paid at registration or on the night but please advise us of your intention to attend by emailing Taipasailingclub@gmail.com.

 

Friday Coaching Clinic:

There is a small change to coaching times for Friday.  You can register from 10:00am and will need to be dressed in your sailing gear ready to go at 11:00am. 

Safety:

We all want you to be safe out on the water and to ensure we comply with Yachting New Zealand.  Safety Regulations and O’pen Bic Class Rules please can you ensure the following:

• Tow Ropes - A floating towing rope 7m minimum length and a minimum thickness of 8mm is to be securely fixed to the mast at all times when afloat.   Please note that If you are chartering a boat, you will need to supply your own tow rope. 
• Centreboards must be secured to the boat.
• Hulls to be numbered with the sail number.
