The Tingira Cup is the 3rd race of the 2017 PNSW Harbour Series for Surf Skis, Spec Skis, SUPs, Outrigger Canoes & Sea Kayaks. 
This event is hosted by Shark Island Paddlers and Woollahra Sailing Club.
Long course = 18 km. Short Course = 10 km. Beginners Course = 5km.
All course distances are approximate depending on route taken, tide and other variables.

This race is Sydney Harbour / Port Jackson based and takes place on Sheltered Waters - on flatter / easier water conditions, unless there is a big wind.
 The Long Course does round the Red South Head channel marker and is adjacent to South Head, where swell, chop and open water conditions may be experienced.There may be boat wash from other water users including large motor yachts and Sydney Harbour Ferries. Check weather before starting event to be sure your ability and equipment is suited to the conditions anticipated on the day. 


Note: Sea Kayaks & SUP are to enter 10km short course ONLY.
Beginners are to enter the 5km Novice / Beginner Course ONLY.
If in doubt as to your ability or equipment for Long Course (18km) due to conditions beforehand or on the day - please enter the Short Course (9km) or Beginners course (5km).

In accordance with the event's Aquatic License:
ALL Long and Short course paddlers are to have a LEG LEASH available to be worn at the discretion of the Race Director on the day. No leash - No start.
All SUP Paddlers are to wear a LEG LEASH.

All paddlers must wear a (minimum) Level 50 LIFEJACKET. 
No inflatable Lifejackets are to be worn for this event.
