MINIMUM / MAXIMUM RIDERS

The minimum number of entries to constitute a class is 18 riders.  Only 1 class per rider permitted.

2.    ENTRY FEES AND CONDITIONS

2.1. CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES

Entries will officially close – May 24, 2017  

Late entries may be accepted up to the 29th May 2017 although they will not appear in the official program. The only late entries that will be accepted are where there are available places on the grid.

PROOF OF CLUB MEMBERSHIP IS COMPULSORY FOR RIDERS APPLYING FOR ONE EVENT LICENCE

Sponsors names will be accepted. Sponsors will be shown next to a rider’s name in the program at the promoter’s discretion Inappropriate names/quotes etc will not be published

Cancellation: - Prior to the closing date refunds will be permitted minus a $30.00 administration fee. After the closing date no refunds

PRACTICE DAY

On Friday 2nd June a practice session for all classes will be offered between 11:30am and 02:30pm order of practice will be advised in last minute instructions, order of machine examination will be advised to ensure all riders take advantage of practice times.

It is envisaged that all practice groups will receive 3 x 10 minute practice sessions

Your machine will have some form of identifier placed on it to provide evidence of Machine Examination.

All competitors must present themselves with their Parent/Guardian if under 18 years of age, MA licence, and proof of current club membership for one event licence holders, Boots and Helmet for inspection.

ALL MACHINES MUST CONFORM TO THE GCR’s.

Extra machine will be allowed but the machine must go through machine examination in the time specified.

On Sunday June 4, 2017 your name will be marked off the riders register in the Race Office under the Score tower where you will also be allocated your transponder and program.

Riders under the age of 18 will need a parent/guardian to accompany them. Those riders at the event without a parent will need a completed Deed of temporary guardianship form.

2.2. ADDRESS FOR ENTRIES

                RIDER AND MECHANIC PASSES WILL NOT BE MAILED

                Passes will be available from the Wednesday at a designated stall to be named in the last minute instructions.

Passes will be available all day Saturday and on Sunday morning until practice from Entry Gate 1.

2.3. CAMERAS

Cameras may be fitted to the motorcycle provided they are securely mounted. Camera mounts are subject to approval by the Chief Scrutineer. Helmet Cameras are not permitted unless the camera is integrated into the helmet, by design of the manufacturer.

2.4. GOGGLES AND VISORS

Tear Offs are banned for all Off-Road related disciplines, for Off-Road disciplines a competitor must, at the start of each event or special test, be wearing goggles or a similar form of eye protection.  It is strongly recommended that the competitor wear the

3.    TRANSPONDERS - RFID CHIP

 

It is the competitor's responsibility to ensure the RFID is secured correctly to ensure best pick up of results.

Each competitor will be allocated 3 RFID chips per machine, you will be directed where to place them in last minute instructions.

Last minute instructions will direct you to a link that will display your personal results and race results during the race day.

RFID are disposable, please dispose of them thoughtfully after use.

4.    RACE CONDITIONS

The promoters reserve the right to postpone, cancel or change the program if necessary with Motorcycling Western Australia’s approval prior to the meeting or with permission from the Steward on the day of the meeting.

4.1.     RIDERS MEETING

A riders meeting will be held 7:15am at the base of the Tower All riders must attend.

4.2.    PRACTICE

Practice will commence at 7:30am on the day for all capacity classes. Minimum 3 laps time permitting.

4.3.    START METHOD

Self-penalising drop gates. Clutch start.

15 second board displayed to all riders for full 15 seconds

At the end of 15 sec a 5-sec board will be displayed.

The gate will drop between 5 and 10 seconds after the 5-sec board is shown.

Gate positions will be drawn by ballot by the rider on the day for the first race, e.g. Peg number 2 equals gate pick 2 and so on. Gate position will then be determined for the following race by your previous race place e.g. 1st place gets the choice of the gate first and so on. Riders that DNF will have last gate pick in order of DNF.

4.4.    FINISH METHOD

A one-lap board will be displayed to the riders indicating when one lap remains. The chequered flag is displayed to signal the race is finished.

4.5.    CHANGE OF MACHINE

A change of machine is permitted as per GCR’s on the condition that written notification must be in the hands of the Clerk of the Course at least 10 minutes prior to the race in which the substitution is to be made and further, that the replacement machine must have been correctly entered, examined and passed at machine examination. Machine change must be of the same capacity.


5.    AWARDS

 

Total Prize money of over $24,000.00 will be allocated over the following classes as listed below.

Allstars Elimination        1st $2000, 2nd $500, 3rd $200.00 Elimination Challenge Allstars Open and Lites:

           

Lap 1.               40 starters last 50% to get the finish flag are eliminated.

Lap 2.               20 starters last 50% to get the finish flag are eliminated.

Lap 3.               10 starters last four to get the finish flag are eliminated.

Lap 4.               6 starters last three to get the finish flag are eliminated.

Lap 5.               3 starters first Competitor to get the finish flag is the winner of the elimination challenge.

Presentation will be within 15 minutes of completion of the final event.

Prize Money will be mailed to competitors within 7 days.          

6.    FIRST AID

First Aid personnel will be in attendance.

It is a condition of entry that First Aid MUST be accepted wherever deemed necessary by the attending first aides. The Clerk of Course of the day has the right to refuse further racing of a rider if first aide requirements are not adhered to.

INJURIES

Riders who have been transported to hospital or referred to a Doctor prior to the event must obtain a medical clearance and forward a copy to Motorcycling WA stating fit for Motorcycle activity before participating in the event. Riders who have been transported to hospital or referred to a Doctor during the event must obtain a medical clearance and submit a copy to the Race Secretary before being allowed to continue competing at the event.

AMBULANCE COVER

All riders are reminded that ambulance cover is compulsory as a condition of your licence. Cover must be maintained for the duration of your licence.

7.    NO HASSLE POLICY

Any rider or entrant or person associated with the rider or entrant shall conduct themselves in an orderly manner. A rider shall be responsible for his own conduct and that of any person with whom he is associated. Anyone who abuses or threatens personally or physically any official or any other person present at the event shall lie deemed to be in Breach of this rule.

The Clerk of Course for a breach of this rule may impose PENALTIES on the day of this meeting i.e.:

*Reprimand or warning.

*Fine.

*Expulsion from the meeting.

All breaches will be reported to Motorcycling Western Australia for possible further action.


 

RIGHT TO USE IMAGE

8.    It is a condition of entry that consent is given by the entrant/rider and/or parent/guardian for all photographs and electronic images (including moving images) that may be taken during the event by or on behalf of the Promoter, or with permission of the Promoter. All such images are the property of the Promoter and will only be used in accordance with the Motorcycling Australia Member Protection Policy and for the purposes of promotional or other purposes without further consent being required

 

9.    ANTI-DOPING POLICY

All competitors and officials are advised that drug testing may take place in accordance with MA’s Anti-Doping Policy, as carried out by the ASDA. Refer to MA website for details.

10.  DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTING

All competitors and officials are advised that random drug and alcohol testing may take place during the competition. Refer to MA Website for details on the Safety Policy – Drug and Alcohol testing.

11.  GENERAL RULES

11.1.        No alcoholic beverages allowed in pits or racing circuit.

11.2.        Dogs will not be permitted (except guide dogs).

11.3.        Enclosed footwear must be worn in the pits at all times.

11.4.        No scooters or pit bikes permitted within the venue.

11.4.1.      Campers, Riders, Pit Crew will not be allowed entry into the venue with a Pit Bike of any description.  If you have a Pit  Bike in your trailer you will not be given permission into the venue.  If a Pit Bikes are found in the venue the rider associated with the owner of the bike will be ejected from the venue and meeting.
