Welcome to the inaugural Compass Club event!

The Compass Club provides a once in a lifetime experience - a chance to complete a full marathon on each of Australia's northern, southern, eastern, western and central compass points.

This will not be your normal road race however - You will be challenged mentally and physically!  Australia's most testing elements will be on display - humidity, beach running, trail running, steep hills and cool temperatures. These events are not for the faint hearted or under prepared.

The Compass Club series kicks-off on Australia's most Southerly point - Tasmania's South Coast Track will host the second Compass Club event, a 42 kilometre out and back run to Australia's deepest south. Competitors will encounter chilly winds, sprawling plains, rocky cliffs and lengthy boardwalks amongst some of Australia's most stunning landscapes.

Alice Springs Larapinta Trail will play host to the second Compass Club event, a journey to Australia's red centre. Located only a few minutes out of the Alice township, the Larapinta Trail is a 223 kilometre (139 miles) long walking track that follows the West McDonnell Ranges. Heading west from Alice Springs, the trail winds it's way through rugged mountain tops, shallow creek beds and rare native desert flora. The Compass Club Central event will commence on the western most point of the Larapinta Trail.

The picturesque Byron Bay of New South Wales is the location for the third event of the series. Thousands of tourists flock each year to the gorgeous seaside haven to visit Cape Byron, and for the first time in Byron's history, you will have a chance to participate in a grueling marathon event.

Be prepared to encounter wild and rugged conditions in the race to Australia's northern most point, the Cape York Peninsula. Starting just outside of Bamaga, competitors will face a return trip up the 4WD tracks to Australia's northern most points.

And rounding out the series will be Steep Point in Western Australia, where competitor's will skirt Australia's central west coastline in the iconic Shark Bay precinct.
