Welcome to the Geelong Half Marathon 2019. You can choose from the Geelong Half Marathon or the 7 km Run. Here are some details.
Entry fees
We are pleased to offer reduced entry fees to those with Australian
Health Care Cards and to entrants who will be aged under 18 on event day.

These entry fees are GST inclusive and there are no additional handling fees etc.
Registration close date
To
ensure your safety and enjoyment, the field for the Geelong Half Marathon and 7 km Run combined has been limited to 1000. For each event, registrations will close at 4 pm on Saturday 13th April or when 1000 people have entered, whichever occurs first.
Age limit
While we are actively encourage young runners, for safety reasons, we must insist that all runners be aged 16 or more on race day for the Geelong Half Marathon and 14 years or more for the 7 km Run.
Refunds
If you notify us by Sunday 31st March, we will refund your entry fee (less a $10 administration fee). Please send your request to halfmarathon@gccc.asn.au. Sorry - no refunds are possible after 31st March.
Event changes
If you would like to change events, please contact us on halfmarathon@gccc.asn.au. We can do this at any stage. There is a $10 administration fee for changing events.
How to get your race pack
For entries up to Sunday 31st March, 2019: Your bib, and an event information brochure (including a course map), will be posted to you. This will have everything you need and you will not need to check in to our Information tent before start time.
For entries after Sunday 31st March, 2019: We will not post your event pack. Late entry bib collection is on Saturday 13th April (the day before the event) from 4 pm to 6 pm at the Geelong Cross Country Clubrooms. These are under the James Harrison Bridge, on the south side of Barwon River, in Belmont, Geelong. Melways reference Map 451, K8. If it is impossible for you to get to late entry bib collection on Saturday 13th, we will have your bib at the Information tent for collection on race morning.
What if my bib does not arrive in the post
If your bib does NOT arrive in time, on Saturday 13th April (the day before the event) from 4 pm to 6 pm, call in at the Geelong Cross Country Clubrooms. If it is impossible for you to get there on Saturday, drop by the Information tent on race morning for a replacement bib.
Start times
The Geelong Half Marathon will start at 7.30 am. The 7 km Run will start at 8.00 am.
Time limits
The drink stations and marshalling will cease support progressively as follows:
• 7.3km: 50 mins (8.20am)
• 11.8km: 85 mins (8.55am)
• 16.3km: 120 mins (9.30am)
• 21.1km: 165 mins (10.15am)
Participants are welcome to continue after these times but will not have drink station and marshal support, and the finishing arch and race timing will close at 10.15 am.
7 km Run
This year, our 7 km Run course is over a great new course, finishing with the Half Marathon runners.
