We are excited to launch our 9th annual Darlington Half Marathon or 8km Training Course for 2017. The Darlington Half Marathon or 8km is one of Western Australia’s longest standing runs and has developed a cult status amongst running enthusiasts with a challenging course and beautiful semi-rural setting.
As one of our most popular Front Runner courses, we are excited to once again offer the 2017 course in 3 locations! There will be South of the River (Ardross) plus West Perth Morning and Lake Monger Afternoon options to ensure we provide you with expert coaching, as well as convenience to accommodate your work and lifestyle demands.
The Half Marathon or 8km training course is equally suited to those looking to run their first half marathon/ 8km, regular joggers with some fun run experience or regular runners looking to lower an existing personal best with a periodised build up to the event in a fun and friendly training environment.
As always, you can trust our expert coaching team to deliver excellence in knowledge and professional service at all training sessions as you team up with a fun and friendly group of fellow enthusiasts aiming to beat their best! The course will fill quickly so please do not delay in signing up.

1. West Perth (AM)
- Strength Endurance; Tuesday 6am-7am The Running Centre (TRC)
- 1 x per week Self Directed Easy Run (Half Marathon only)
- Threshold Run; Thursday 6am-7am TRC
- Endurance; Saturday 7.00-8.45am TRC + 1 x Race Prep run @ Darlington
2. South of the River (Ardross)
- Strength Endurance; Tuesday 6.00am-7.00am Deep Water Point Cafe
- 1 x per week Self Directed Easy Run (Half Marathon only)
- Threshold Run; Thursday 6.00-7.00am Tompkins Park
- Endurance; Saturday 7.00-8.45am TRC + 1 x Race Prep run @ Darlington
3. Lake Monger (PM)
- Strength Endurance; Monday 5.30-6.45pm Lake Monger (Dodd Street)
- 1 x per week Self Directed Easy Run (Half Marathon only)
- Threshold Run; Thursday 5.30-6.45pm Lake Monger (Dodd Street)
- Endurance; Saturday 7.00-8.45am The Running Centre (West Perth) + 1 x Race Prep run @ Darlington
Community: as Perth’s favourite and most trusted training group, we cater for beginners, fun runners or advanced. Any age and ability!
Great structure: a 9-week, course specific training plan, including 3 supervised sessions per week with expert coaching and guidance. Commencing Monday, January 9th.
Objectivity: have your training pace zones prescribed and reassessed throughout the course to quantify your training and measure your improvement.
Specificity: event specific training sessions throughout the course PLUS a pre-event course review two weeks prior to race day.
Value: 9 weeks for only $259 per person (less than $10 per coached session).
